Yesterday's sail in strong wind ... with reduced (reefed) sail.

Sailing is like golf. In golf one has 12 clubs in bag for diverse situations (driver for tee shot, putter for green, wedges for chipping, irons for medium-distance accuracy) ... In sailing we have different sail combinations for varied weather and sea states. Generally, the greater the wind speed, the less sail area used.
