Our Story
Red Witch is proud to annouce that she is Southeast Wisconsin’s wooden tallship -- a two-masted, gaff-rigged topsail schooner offering public sails (day sails and sunset sails) and private events (24/7) for corporations, nonprofits, associations, friends, families and any type of party (weddings, reunions, birthdays, anniversaries, etc.)!
Red Witch has had an amazing journey. She was voted Chicago’s “Best Tour and Charter Boat” (2009, 2010, 2012 -- 3rd Overall). She sailed from San Diego for many years. She sailed to Maui, Hawai’i. She has traversed the Panama Canal. She was designed in 1922 based upon an 1830’s Great Lakes Working Schooner designed by one of the great architects of the era, John Alden. Her construction was overseen in the mid-1980’s by the current Executive Director of the magnificent San Diego Maritime Museum, namely Dr. Raymond Ashley.
Welcome aboard Red Witch! Relax and enjoy the view.
