Well I took a chance on a new business in Kewaunee after meeting the owner and discussing their ceramic coating offering for boats. I could not be happier! The boat and motors look amazing and will for 5 years now. No more waxing, no more buffing, you can feel the ceramic coating feels different, it feels like a hard shell……. This place is truly magical….. a limit of 24 for 25 yesterday and 24 for 24 today…. Today’s bag of walleye cheeks and tail fillets and loins weighed over 26 pounds… My heart is full but my hands are shrapnel as the Captain forgot the pliers for removing hooks from these toothy creatures….………🙄

She hasn’t seen sunlight since June of last year when lady motorcycle took her out of commission…….. ran like a top today so thanking God for that, and for lady motorcycle not getting too hurt…. She’s all shined up and heading to Lake Erie tomorrow to get all dirty again……. Catch/Rinse/Repeat……. Stay tuned! Hopefully fresh Walleye is on the menu!

So, after a lost year of charter fishing and fun fishing I finally got the brand new trailer under the Hewescraft after my accident in June! Side note, the guilty party in the accident had PROGRESSIVE Insurance and the experience was horrible for me. The truck, trailer and boat all were damaged and in conversations with repair facilities and dealerships one name came up every single time as the worst out there to deal with on claims. PROGRESSIVE. Im not going to go deep into things, but they fought everything with a smile and are still fighting me on issues related. My HEWESCRAFT dealer told me horrible stories where PROGRESSIVE denied all kinds of claims and nickel/dimed clients to death…….. So be advised, spending millions on TV ads does not an insurance company make………..

Been quite a year, in late June while trailering home a lady came across the center line in her 3 wheeled motorcycle and wiped my truck and trailer out as well as damaging the Hewescraft. Thankfully she was ok, with minor injuries which is a miracle because the damage to the truck and trailer were significant. Dealing with her insurance, PROGRESSIVE, has been a nighmare experience. My entire season was a wash, and I won’t get the replacement trailer now till October….. For funsies I have been taking the old center console with friends from time to time and doing well. This AM was another win as I took a good friend Jacob Kumpfer and we were 9 for 9 by 7:30am…….
