We took 1st at the Ransom Everglades tournament this weekend 🏆 with the largest dolphin—and this one meant more than most.

Our angler Lizandro spent the last two years recovering from a 20-foot fall. Banged up, long road back—but his mindset never changed: get better and get back to work.

Fast forward to now… a 27 lb dolphin, over a 30-minute fight, and a moment none of us will forget.

That wasn’t just a catch—that was grit, resilience, and heart on full display.

His crew (and coworkers) were fired up for him. Couldn’t happen to a better guy.

Back by popular demand, were doing the first mate Boot Camp this summer. We are doing 2 sessions, one in June and one in July. That’s a lot of learning but a lot of fishing also. Hopefully the weather is a lot calmer than last year sessions. ❤️

This has served me well. It got stuck on the bottom, but I got it back with minor damage. With some patience I replaced a braille line and fixed a couple of holes and rips. But I did not do it alone. I had Willie the Manatee and H. Upman here to help me. #12 footer #22 pounds.
