An 8-day Japan itinerary designed around one of the hardest constraints:
maximizing a school holiday break without sacrificing the experience.

Here’s how we structured it:

• 4 nights in Kyoto as our cultural anchor
→ with intentional day trips to Osaka and Nara
• Disney placed mid-trip (not at the end)
→ Tokyo Disneyland on New Year’s Day
→ DisneySea the day after
• 3 nights in Tokyo to close out the trip with modern energy

Why Disney in the middle?
Because many attractions across Japan close on New Year’s Day, while Disney operates at full capacity, making it the perfect anchor during the holiday lull.

This pacing allowed the trip to feel:
• unrushed
• balanced
• culturally immersive
• still magical during a major holiday week
