This morning I was speaking to someone about my getting a place in the Keys and she said, "As long as I've known you, you've wanted a place there". Yes, for more than 20 years I have been visiting and saying, "I"m going to get a place here." But what has taken me so long? Lack of focus.

Do you have any goals or dreams that you've had for a long, long time? Have you given up? I can tell you, life gets in the way. The first time I had my sights set on a place, I had sold a franchise and made considerable money. I was actively looking and in the meantime, the hurricanes were beating the Florida Keys and the rest of Florida. I couldn't get insurance! And I gave up.

Many years and many opportunities have passed. And I let life derail my plans. I bet you know the feeling, right?

What are those dreams? It's not too late. Dust your dreams off and even if they seem far in the distance, begin to focus on how ou can make them come true.

How do you feel about pelicans? I love them, but my friend, Tiffany is terrified of them. One thing about them, they really go for what they want. On the way down to Key West, I like to stop at Robbies Marina and eat at the Hungry Tarpon (see below). But lately, the place has been overrun by hungry pelicans! If they spot you with a pail of fish, it's over! I watched various tourists scream and swat the giant birds, that was the real entertainment!

Those pelicans may be annoying, but what they also are, is single-minded. They go after the fish in a flurry of wings and beaks.

Single-mindedness is what you need when you want to go after anything in life. A job, being more healthy, making more money, and even being happy.

Are you creating your life with the necessary intent? If not, then take a step back. Think about what you want. Are you on a straight path? Can you focus on it? Can you dismiss the others who don't want you to achieve or even that voice that says, "You can't do this?".

Be more like the pelicans! No fish have to be harmed!

Do you have dreams that seem far, far in the distance? Do you feel like life is going to be over too soon? Do you long to make a difference?

A few years ago, I was struggling with my life. Being a divorce lawyer took a massive toll on my energy. They say people don't change, but in my case, that was wrong. Massively wrong. I created change in every area of my life. I turned my misery into joy. Began teaching how to have a beautiful life filled with what I wanted. I made thousands of connections and built a business on Positive Change. I created courses on how to manifest money and taught myself how to make millions.

Now I am living the life of my dreams. I own a seven-figure law firm, an event venue with markets, rentals, and an art gallery. The newest goal, a place of my own in Key West. After traveling to Key West for 20 years and hosting retreats on the island, I've wanted my own piece of paradise for years.
