Learn the dark side on the crime tour!! 😳

Somewhere off the Florida Keys, a Spanish galleon loaded with treasure sank in a hurricane in 1622, and one determined man spent sixteen years and a fortune searching for it. 💰 When Mel Fisher finally found the Nuestra Senora de Atocha in 1985, it was one of the greatest treasure discoveries in history.

The Atocha went down with silver bars, gold, and Colombian emeralds bound for Spain, scattering its riches across the sea floor. For centuries the wreck lay hidden, and many treasure hunters searched in vain. Fisher refused to give up, greeting each disappointing day with his famous motto, today is the day. The search cost him dearly, including the lives of his son and daughter in law in a boating accident, a heartbreak he carried the rest of his life. ⚓

Then in July 1985 his divers found the mother lode, a reef of stacked silver bars and chests of coins and jewels worth hundreds of millions of dollars. The discovery sparked years of legal battles over who owned the treasure, but it also gave Key West one of the most remarkable museums in the state.

Some dreams really do wait at the bottom of the sea. 🌊 Would you have kept searching for sixteen long years?

RICO WEATHER REPORT: DOLLY IS HAULING ASS

Good morning, Florida. Unfortunately, the Atlantic has produced another employee.

Tropical Storm Dolly is currently screaming west at 24 MPH with 40 MPH winds and absolutely no respect for anyone’s weekend plans.

At this speed, Dolly isn’t tracking across the Atlantic — she’s fleeing the scene.

Current situation:

💨 Winds: 40 MPH
🏃 Speed: 24 MPH west
🌪️ Organization: Questionable
🍹 Rico’s concern level: Still drinking coffee

Forecasters expect Dolly to approach the Leeward Islands this weekend, but she may fall apart into a tropical wave before she even gets there.

Causes everybody to panic.
Then cancels.

A packaged brick of suspected co***ne was found by good Samaritans who called the Sheriff’s Office at approximately 8:15 p.m. on Aug. 14, 2026, on North Jade Drive in Key Largo, Florida. The package was scheduled to be turned over to the U.S. Border Patrol.
