We operate the most modern fleet in the area with 4 brand new he

licopters and all our helicopters are equipped with digital traffic monitoring ADSB-In/Out for your safety. Our heliport (Keystone Heliport, SD18) is the only FAA and SDDOT approved heliport in the area; and is occasionally utilized by both the National Guard and Life Flight helicopters. Our pilots have on average over 1500 hours of aeronautical experience each and extensive training in the make and model they will be flying. Helicopter maintenance is lead by one of the best technicians in the United States and we utilize an outside service center semiannually to double check our program. Our modern aircraft all have EMUs (electronic monitoring systems) to ensure they are operating as prescribed. Most importantly, our weather decisions are based solely on your safety and comfort. Our Story

Established in 2016.

Chief Pilot and Veteran Owner, Andrew Busse always had the dream of sharing his passion for flight with others. What better place to do this than over his native land, the Black Hills of South Dakota. Black Hills Helicopters, offers tours and charters around the Black Hills and Mount Rushmore.

Chief Pilot and Owner Andrew Busse, is an extremely experienced military instructor pilot and also the Lead Pilot for Black Hills Life Flight with over 3500 helicopter flight hours. He is an engineer by education, having received his B.S.degree in Industrial Engineering from the School of Mines in Rapid City, SD. He is also an avid outdoorsman, skier, climber, mountaineer, and father.

Our Highway 16A location was specifically selected for our heliport as it sits well over 500’ above the town of Keystone; affording our passengers amazing views immediately after take-off. It is the only FAA Designated Heliport and DOT Approved Heliport in Keystone.
