Come enjoy a FREE day in the great outdoors at JT Richardson’s Northwestern Community Shooting Complex in Sumner, MO on Saturday, June 14, from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Local conservation organizations are teaming-up to provide a fun-filled day for local youth with a free lunch and activities. Youth must be accompanied by an adult to partake in the fun. ​

Thanks to the following groups who made this possible: Shortgrass Chapter of Quail Forever, North Missouri Sportsman’s Alliance, Missouri Dept. of Conservation, The National Wild Turkey Federation and Ducks Unlimited. Let the fun begin in the great outdoors of Chariton County!​

This Memorial Day, we honor the brave men and women who have served our country with valor and sacrifice. 🙏​

As we remember their dedication, we encourage you to visit the Military Room at the Chariton County Historical Society Museum. They are open Tuesday-Saturday from 1-4 pm.​

This exhibit pays tribute to our local veterans, showcasing their stories and the history of their service. It's a powerful reminder of the courage and commitment that shaped our nation.​
