Red Knots are slowly arriving back to Kiawah Island. Currently, there are hundreds of Red Knots on the island now, and more will continue to arrive in the coming weeks. Beachgoers are encouraged to maintain a respectful distance and avoid disturbing these shorebirds as they rest and feed.

The Shorebirds Information Session was held this past Tuesday. If you missed the meeting and would like to learn more about shorebirds or the stewardship program, you can view the meeting here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ac2aQONqZsk&t=1s

If you are interested in joining the Shorebird Stewardship program, contact Bette Popillo at [email protected]
