We have spent the last week on Maui, heading home today. It is our first visit since the Lahaina fires and it is good to see that the island is recovering. Tourism is down and as a result many businesses have closed in the last year. As always the locals are very welcoming and have a positive outlook for the future of this beautiful island.

We have returned home from Maui and it feels great to have been able to upgrade the condo while we were there. New washer/dryer, new bathroom cabinets and lighting and lots of other little small touches added. Perfect for a romantic getaway.

We fly home on Thursday so we did our covid test at Walgreens last night. We did the rapid NAAT test and got the results in 1 hr.

Maui Brewing Co. in Kihei. Great place for dinner and happy hour. Feels like you are at a Family Barbecue.

What an amazing day. Circled around Lanai and stopped four times, three times to snorkel and once to swim to a completely secluded beach. We saw a monk seal, thresher shark, bottlenose dolphins and of course, plenty of whales.

No stay on Maui would be complete without a breakfast at the Kihei Caffe. Biscuits & Gravy and Crab Cake Eggs Benedict. 😋 Last time we were here they only took cash but now you can pay with cards as well.

We have finally made it back to Maui. Travelling during these time requires a little more diligence but we did everything right and it was so worth to be back on this beautiful island. Picture is of Kamaole 2 Beach. 🌺

The Rack rate for our condo is actually more then I charge now. 🤷‍♀️
