Killington Pico Area Association

Killington Pico Area Association information on events, activities, lodging and dining for the Killington area and beyond The Killington Region is an all-season vacation destination.

You'll know this is a special destination as you approach, and the seven mountains of Killington rise up to greet you. Whether blanketed in winter white, sporting the deep emerald the Green Mountains are named for, or dazzling in fiery fall color, these mountains know no season. With some of the highest and most varied mountain terrain in New England, Killington is the choice for outdoor enthusias

ts of all kinds. Killington Resort is one of the largest ski areas in the world - 95 miles of skiing and snowboarding terrain - is home to the largest network of mountain biking trails in the East, and hiking when the snows have melted. The famous Appalachian and Long Trails transverse these mountains, as do miles of VAST trails, the Vermont Association of Snow Travelers snowmobile and cross country ski statewide trail system.

The little details make a big difference.

From the hanging baskets on our porch to the blooming flowers that welcome visitors each day, we're grateful to Alice for the care she puts into helping the KPAA Welcome Center look its best.

Her dedication can be seen throughout the Killington region, where she helps bring color and beauty to local businesses and community spaces alike.

Thank you, Alice, for helping make Killington feel a little more welcoming, one flower at a time. 🌸

Have you spotted Alice's handiwork around town? Share your favorite local gardens, flower displays, or community spaces in the comments. We'd love to celebrate more of the beauty that helps make our region special.

The library is going to the dogs this summer! We will close on Thursday and Friday to prep for the summer program and host some workshops for staff. If you have a great photo of your favorite dog, please email it to [email protected] and we'll use your photo in our Tails of Killington display! Please include the name of the dog and stop in this summer to try out the agility course!

Yesterday we had the pleasure of welcoming Grey Beard Sanders, a record-holding 90-year-old hiker currently making his way along the Appalachian Trail, to the Killington-Pico region.

During his stop at the KPAA Welcome Center, Grey Beard took a moment to relax on the porch before continuing his journey. Naturally, our resident Welcome Center ambassador, Simba, was close by keeping an eye on things from his favorite window perch.

After thousands of miles and countless stories, it was an honor to have Grey Beard make Killington part of his adventure.

Safe travels on the trail, Grey Beard. We are cheering you on from Vermont! You can follow his journey here: Grey Beard Team USA Appalachian Trail
