Planning a European vacation? These 5 booking mistakes can cost you time, money… and a whole lot of vacation enjoyment.

1. Waiting too long to book.
Waiting for the “perfect deal” can mean losing the best flights, hotels, rooms and experiences. In Europe, booking early is often about getting the best choices, not just the best price.

2. Trying to do WAY too much.
Five countries in ten days sounds amazing… until you realize how much of your vacation will be spent packing, checking out and sitting on trains. Slow it down. Fewer stops = more time actually experiencing Europe.

3. Booking flights before planning your itinerary.
That cheap round-trip flight might not be such a bargain when it forces you to backtrack across Europe. Plan the route FIRST—then figure out where it makes the most sense to fly in and out.

4. Giving every destination the same amount of time.
Not every city needs three nights! Some are perfect for a quick stop, while others deserve four or five days. Your itinerary should be built around what you actually want to experience.

5. Not hiring ME as your travel agent. 😉

Not the perfect resort.
Not checking another country off the list.
Not even the vacation itself.

This is the point.

Getting away from work, school, practices, homework, laundry, emails, and the million little things constantly competing for our attention.

Going somewhere new together. Doing something adventurous. Laughing until somebody cries. Eating the food. Taking the ridiculous pictures. Watching your kids experience something for the very first time.

✨And for a few days, getting to just be together.✨

Because someday, you probably won't remember what was happening at work that week.

👉🏼But you'll remember jumping into that impossibly blue water.
👉🏼You'll remember the look on their face when they saw the castle.
👉🏼You'll remember getting completely lost in that little European town.
👉🏼You'll remember the stories that started with, “Remember when we…?”

That's the whole point.
The trip isn't taking you away from real life.
It's making sure you don't get so busy with real life that you forget to actually live it. ❤️
