This post is intended to professionally address any misconceptions about being in the Travel Business! Please read its ENTIRETY: FIRST - My travels have been an investment that I have made in MYSELF and for MY OWN enrichment; SECOND- My travels have been an investment in Metro Travel so that I have the experience, expertise, and extensive knowledge to assist our clients that want to travel to those same destinations. I have been told that I am a very serious person - and WE are - because we believe that there is NO non-sense when making a client’s Travel Arrangements!
Furthermore- 99 percent of the time, I do not travel for “free” and in most cases, I pay just like anyone else! I travel on the kind of trip that I would want to go on AND I travel to the destinations that I want to travel to AND it is NOT dictated by any kind of a discount that would offer me much less and that would compromise my own travel experiences!
Metro Travel has been in the travel business for almost 50 years and has been a multimillion dollar producer of Professional Travel related services. It is a very delicate and detailed oriented business with stress, challenges, struggles, and responsibility just like any other business. This is not a "fun" and "carefree" business; but yet a very serious business that requires extensive experience and responsibility. Our experience in the Travel Business has taught us that just when you think you know it all, you find out you don’t, because there are times when things do go wrong and World situations and events can change things quickly and instantly! 50 years in the Travel Business has also taught us that your Supplier is NOT your best friend!
If you are a “travel agent” for "leisure”, “play", and "fun" - that is very different as compared to being in the Travel Business as a professional BUSINESS. In fact, if you are busy enough and sell the kind of Volume that our Agency has sold in the past 50 years, you will find Nonsense that makes the Travel Business become even more serious! You cannot compare the two by far on a professional level! Metro Travel has always been in the business of selling Travel - nothing more and nothing less! We walk the walk as we talk the talk!
