🌲 5 Reasons Spring is Secretly the Best Time to Visit Bear Creek Cabins

Most people think summer is the best time for a mountain getaway… but locals know spring might be even better.

Here’s why we love spring in the mountains:

🦌 Wildlife is everywhere (as you may have seen from our recent “landscaping crew” video)
🌿 The forest is peaceful before the busy summer season
🔥 Cool evenings perfect for cozy cabin nights
🚶 Great weather for hiking, exploring, and fresh mountain air
☕ Slow mornings with coffee on the porch while the mountains wake up

Because winter has been mild this year, **Bear Creek Cabins will open April 1.**

🐣 **Easter weekend is still available** if you're looking for a quiet spring getaway.

Our first guests of the season arrived early… and apparently they’re handling the landscaping. 🦌🌿

The elk lined up this morning giving our arborvitae shrubs a “spring trim” and wandering through the courtyard like they own the place.

Because winter has been mild, Bear Creek Cabins will open April 1 this year.

🐣 Easter weekend is still available if you're dreaming of a quiet mountain getaway.

Comment EASTER and I’ll send the booking link.

As we close Bear Creek Cabins for the winter and look back on another incredible season, we’re filled with gratitude. ❤️

This year, our mountaintop retreat was home to:
• Family reunions (including our largest group yet — 25 guests!)
• Wedding parties and families celebrating love
• Groups of hunters and outdoor adventurers
• International Enduro dirt bike racers
• Trail of the Coeur d’Alenes and Route of the Hiawatha - Scenic Bike Trail riders
• Birthday and anniversary celebrations
• And friends simply seeking a peaceful place to reconnect

From quiet mornings with coffee and breathtaking views, to evenings gathered around the fire pit sharing stories and laughter — these are the moments that make Bear Creek Cabins so special.

Guests often tell us they love the privacy, stunning views, spotless cabins, and thoughtfully stocked amenities — but what matters most to us is that Bear Creek Cabins becomes a place where people slow down and truly spend time together.

Thank you to every guest who trusted us with your memories this season. We’ll be resting, recharging, and preparing to welcome you back mid-April for another season of connection and unforgettable stays. 🌲

🍂 A Guest Favorite This Fall – Last Chance to Book 🍂

One of our recent guests shared this after their stay at Bear Creek Cabins, and it meant more to us than we can say:

“The property is breathtaking from the moment you arrive… wide-open views straight out of a postcard… mornings watching the mountains wake up, evenings around the campfire, and a place you never want to leave.”

This is exactly why we love welcoming guests here — whether you’re gathering family, celebrating milestones, or just needing a quiet reset in the mountains.

⛰️ November stays are still available, rates start at $289/night, 2 night minimum
🦃 Thanksgiving weekend is OPEN
❄️ We close for the season in early December

If you’ve been thinking about a fall getaway, now’s the time. Bring friends, family, and enjoy a peaceful retreat before winter.
