Couldn’t let Leo season completely pass me by without a belated birthday post. 🦁
This time last year, we officially launched Discover Q***r. And in the 12 months since, a LOT has happened:
→ 20+ new clients
→ Client trips planned to Easter Island, Chile, Bolivia, Japan, Thailand, Italy, Poland, Germany + Mexico
→ Finally quitting my corporate job
→ Starting work with IGLTA the international LGBTQ+ travel association
→ Planning a retreat for 16 q***r professionals
→ Hosting q***r apple picking, walking tours, cocktail classes, collage nights + event planner mixers (❤️ U Gay Agenda NYC 🗓️ Events for q***r, le***an, dolls & nb )
→ Launching my first group trip to Curaçao—which sold exactly zero spots 😂 (but led to an incredible trip anyway, including meeting Michael of Christopher Street Tours on my very first night)
→ Graduating from wmnsWORK Tourism Accelerator incubator and meeting some truly incredible women + q***rs building travel businesses of their own.
Entrepreneurship is a wild ride.
It’s challenging me in ways I thought I’d outgrown. It’s fumbling around in the vastness of possibility and lurching toward a path forward. It’s incubating, launching, refining, questioning. It’s unlearning corporate conditioning and learning to ship things before they’re perfect.
And it’s exhilarating.
There’s a lot more I want to build, and I’m just getting started.
Here’s to another year of building, traveling, experimenting, and making q***r travel a little easier and a lot more unforgettable. 🌈
