A quick visit of the Kirkwood Inn, which dates to 1864. The original home of Zak, Eliza Kirkwood and their three children. Notable is the tri-county post supporting the Inn--the post lives in 3 counties, Amador, El Dorado and Alpine. During prohibition, the story goes, the bar was on rollers. When the authorities visited the bar was simply rolled into another county!

Fellows Geo-Tours is born! The website is live. www.fellowsgeotours.com. Come for a visit, better yet, BOOK A TOUR:) Seriously, we are looking for 50 more likes on the FB page. So much to like: Farm-to-table cuisine, renown Wildflower expert, beautiful mountain scenery, small historic towns, and more. So, if you can help us achieve the goal of 100 likes, it is much appreciated in helping to get the word out about these great Geo-tours which start this Spring and Summer. I almost forgot, check out the Treasures of the Sierra Tour--there is even a youtube video on the Kirkwood Inn. Or, just click here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JxRDTSapS3o&feature=youtu.be
Thanks everybody for your good ideas, well wishes and support!
