🌄 “A Place of Holy Remembrance” 🌄

On September 21, 2025, Elder David A. Bednar of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles rededicated the Hill Cumorah Historic Site in Palmyra, New York — a sacred place he called “the cradle of the Restoration.”

Once the resting place of the gold plates and the setting for Joseph Smith’s divine instruction from the angel Moroni, the Hill Cumorah now stands renewed as a place of holy remembrance, heavenly inspiration, and humble reverence.

Elder Bednar invited all who visit to “learn eternal truths by the power of the Holy Ghost” and to feel the same spirit that inspired the Prophet Joseph Smith to bring forth the Book of Mormon.
