Our last adventure in NYC was a visit to the Museum of Ice Cream! We had a blast exploring the interactive exhibits and games. Plus eating ALL the ice cream! Afterwards we headed to the airport for the flight home. A fun but quick trip. What’s your favorite thing to do in NYC?

Next on the NYC itinerary was to see the Statue of Liberty. Travel tip: Don’t wait to arrive in Battery Park to get a tour. It’s crazy and much better to be prepared with something before the tour companies bombard you. We originally wanted to just go to the viewpoint but it’s blocked by construction so we had to buy a boat tour to get around that. It turned out to be fun and we got some good up close photos.

For lunch we met our dear friend from home for pizza near Washington Square park then headed back to the Battery to fulfill a promise to ride the carousel. We walked past the 9/11 Memorial and One World on the way to the subway. Then we changed and went out for dinner and a show! We saw Wicked on Broadway and it was amazing.

Oh and after the show we saw a celebrity across the street from our hotel! Can you name the famous face?

Day two in NYC started with two of us going straight to Rockefeller Center to join the line in hopes of getting in the Tonight Show audience. After getting our standby tickets we took a walk towards The Plaza hotel. We saw St. Patrick’s Cathedral and the Louis Vuitton suitcase building on the way. It was cold and rainy so we headed back to a warm lunch spot at Pershing Square. We explored the NYC Library to find the original Winnie the Pooh. While some of us went to see the Tonight Show taping the others explored all the great toy shops nearby. Then we had a really good dinner at Havana Central.
