1. The escalators can take you from the Promenade to Casino Royale on Deck 4

2. The escalators can also take you to/from gangway at a port stop without having to wait for the elevators to/from the Casino Royale and to the Promenade

I was able to explore some of the areas of the Surfside neighborhood which is dedicated to families onboard Royal Caribbean Icon of the Seas

The Surfside neighborhood on the Icon of the Seas is Royal Caribbean’s brand-new family-focused neighborhood designed especially for young families with children. Located at the aft (back) of the ship, Surfside combines pools, splash zones, dining, lounges, entertainment, and kid-friendly activities all in one easy-to-access area so families can spend the entire day together without needing to move around the ship constantly.
