Choose your cruise personality... 🚢✨

Which one are you?

☀️ **The Pool Lounger**
You claimed your chair by 9 a.m. and have no plans to leave.

🌎 **The Excursion Adventurer**
If there's a zipline, snorkeling trip, or ancient ruins nearby, you're there.

🍕 **The Foodie**
Your vacation schedule revolves around what (and where) you're eating next.

☕ **The Balcony Relaxer**
Coffee in the morning. Ocean views all day. Pure bliss.

🎭 **The Entertainment Enthusiast**
You have the show schedule memorized and won't miss a single performance.

🏆 **The Trivia Champion**
You came for the vacation but stayed for the glory of winning a ship-on-a-stick. 😂

I'm definitely a little bit of ☕ Balcony Relaxer mixed with 🍕 Foodie.

One of the most overlooked "cabin features" for families isn't a feature at all...

It's choosing the space that actually works for YOUR family. 🚢👨‍👩‍👧‍👦

A couple of years ago, we booked a Junior Suite on Brilliance of the Seas. We don't always choose suites (most cruises we don't!), but for that trip, the extra space made a huge difference.

The larger balcony gave us more room to spread out.

The walk-in closet? It became Willow's private dressing room while everyone else was trying to get ready. 😂

And when you have four people sharing one bathroom, every little bit of extra space matters.

Some vacations, two connecting rooms make the most sense.

Some vacations, a standard cabin is perfect.

And sometimes, investing in a little extra space can make the whole experience feel more relaxed.

There isn't one "right" answer for every family. The best cabin is the one that fits your family's needs, priorities, and budget.

If you've cruised before, what cabin setup was your favorite?

One question I get asked a lot is:

"What do you actually do as a travel advisor?" 🤔

Fair question.

Most people know I can book cruises and vacations, but what many don't realize is that my services don't cost you extra.

So what do you get?

💰 Price drop monitoring

If your cruise price drops before final payment, I'm watching for that and can often get your total adjusted without you having to constantly check prices yourself.

🚢 Help choosing the right ship and itinerary

Not every cruise is the right fit for every family. I help match vacations to your travel style, priorities, and budget.

🛏 Cabin guidance

Location matters more than many first-time cruisers realize. I can help you avoid cabins that may not be the best fit for your family.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Family room strategies

Sometimes one room is best. Sometimes two rooms make more sense. Sometimes there are options people don't even know exist.

📋 Planning support

Dining, entertainment, questions before you travel, and having someone in your corner when you need help.

Could you book it yourself?

Absolutely.

But many of my clients appreciate having someone watching the details, answering questions, and helping them get the most value from their vacation.

Cruise unpopular opinion time... 👀

I'll go first:

Sea days are better than port days. 😳

There, I said it.

Something about sleeping in, enjoying the ship, grabbing food when I want, finding a chair by the pool, and having absolutely nowhere I *have* to be just feels like vacation.

Now your turn...

🏖 Team Sea Day
🌎 Team Port Day

3 things I wish every first-time cruiser knew 🚢

1️⃣ You don't have to do EVERYTHING.

I know it's tempting to book every excursion, every activity, and every show.

But some of the best cruise memories happen when you slow down and enjoy the ship, the ocean views, and time together.

2️⃣ Pack less than you think you need.

Seriously.

Most first-time cruisers overpack.

A few versatile outfits, comfortable shoes, and a good packing strategy will take you much further than stuffing an extra suitcase.

3️⃣ The "best cruise" is the one that fits YOUR family.

The biggest ship isn't always the best ship.

The newest ship isn't always the best ship.

The right cruise depends on your family's travel style, priorities, and budget.

What's one thing YOU wish you'd known before your first cruise?

Expectation: packing cubes will magically change my life. ✨

Reality:
…okay but honestly? They kind of do on a cruise. 😂

Especially with kids.

Not only do they make packing easier BEFORE the trip, but they help keep the cabin organized DURING the sailing too.

And if you’ve cruised before, you already know cabin storage can get interesting real fast with a family. 👀

We use packing cubes for:
✔️ keeping outfits together
✔️ separating each kid’s clothes
✔️ easier unpacking
✔️ keeping shelves organized
✔️ stacking clothes better when drawer space is limited
✔️ avoiding the “whose shirt is this?” chaos

By day 3 of a cruise, future-you will be VERY thankful you used them. 😂

Packing cubes: worth the hype or overrated?

Not all cruises are created equal… and this is where families get it wrong. 👀

One of the biggest mistakes I see people make when booking a cruise is choosing the SHIP first instead of deciding what kind of vacation they actually want.

Because a waterslide doesn’t automatically mean it’s the right fit for your family.

Some families want:
☀️ nonstop activities
🍹 relaxing pool days
🍝 amazing food
🌍 port-heavy itineraries
🎭 entertainment
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 quality family time
😴 slower, quieter vibes

And the “best ship” looks completely different depending on those priorities.

That’s why cruise planning is about so much more than picking the newest ship or the biggest attraction.

It’s about matching the vacation to your family’s travel style, budget, and priorities so the experience actually FITS what you’re looking for.

What’s YOUR biggest vacation priority?
Relaxing, food, activities, entertainment, or ports? 👇

Help me settle a cruise debate… 👀

Would you rather:

🛳️ Book a suite for everyone
OR
🚪 Book multiple cabins for more space + flexibility

There’s no one-size-fits-all answer — and honestly, it depends on your crew!

I help families compare both options all the time to find what works best for their vacation 💙

So tell me… which would YOU choose?

Cruise cabins always look one way in the photos…
and then they become something completely different once your family moves in 😅🚢

This was our Junior Suite setup—and while the space itself was great, what always surprises me is how families actually use every corner.

Like this walk-in closet👇
Not just storage… it somehow turned into a full-on dressing room when the bathroom was packed out 😂 (Willow claimed it!)

And that’s the part most people don’t think about when booking… it’s not just about how the cabin looks, it’s how it functions when everyone is living in it at the same time.

So I’m curious👇
What’s your “this saved our sanity” feature in a cruise cabin?

Extra storage? More sleeping space? A place to escape for 10 minutes of quiet? ☕😄
