Last week, I stopped in at Leechburg Floral Co. and the amazing smell of fresh flowers washed over me as I stepped inside. They were hard at work on homecoming florals and I just wanted to stay and help make bouquets! The shop is warm and cozy and they have items to celebrate or commemorate any occasion! Call them for your next floral order or stop in and treat yourself!

Congratulations to Chris Ziegler and crew at Armstrong Trails for the announcement yesterday of the grant for the flyover at Kiski.

This is an important link on the trail and will bring so many trail users through Armstrong County.

Outdoor Recreation, in 2024 brought $20.4 Billion to the state of Pennsylvania and supported 177,000 jobs in the state.

This flyover will up Armstrong County’s trail usage and bring more of those dollars and jobs to our county!

Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources grant program is so important in the growth of our county!

Yesterday, I “officially” visited Bugsy's-Pizza on Jefferson Street in Kittanning. Now I have been there many times before and realized that I had not featured this little gem of a place on this page yet.

Honestly, this is the type of place that I look for when I am traveling! Not a chain and tons of home town charm. From the pizza angel wings mural to the established sign (9/11) to the lighting and outdoor seating, this screams, “visit, sit, have a piece of pizza!”

Pizza by the slice or whole pies, this is one of my favorite local pizza places!
Owned and operated by Jeff, he told me that as a kid he shoveled sidewalks and had his first paper route on Jefferson Street!

Local businesses like this are the backbones of our communities! Support them, they support your events and fundraisers! Plus it’s really good pizza!
