I’ve wanted to go to Halloween Horror Nights for years and never committed until this year. It was so much fun that I’m already thinking about next year. Here are some of my takeaways as a first timer:
1. Get the express pass, especially if you’re going during a high traffic time like I did, which was opening weekend. 🥴
This saved me so much time in lines. You can check my previous post for the posted waits versus waits with express.
2. Check out the food menus. As someone who doesn’t eat gluten or dairy there honestly wasn’t much for me, but I found something that worked and it was really good.
3. Don’t underestimate the scare zones! Okay so going into this I really had no idea how amazing the scare zones would be. They’re almost like an outdoor haunted house. The theming for all of them was great, but my favorites were the Sideshow of Decay and the Infernal Carnival of Nightmares. The character interactions were so fun and they’re down to get in pictures and put on a show!
4. Watch Nightmare Fuel. I wish I could have recorded some of this, but the audience was asked not to. To give a breakdown.. sc****ly clad vampire chasers, fire, sword swallowing. This one was for the WLWs out there. 🤣
5. Not at HHN, but head to City Walk while you’re around and go to the Dead Coconut Club. This place was themed to the max for Halloween, the DJ was incredible, drinks were strong. A good vibe all around.
Can’t wait to go again!
