Every time I plan a motorcycle trip, it starts the same way: I stare at a map and ask myself, *“How am I getting there this time?”*

Sometimes it’s a flight. Sometimes it’s a cruise. Sometimes it’s a wild idea that turns into a story I never stop telling.

One of my favorite memories was the cruise I took up to Alaska. Most people were there for the glaciers and the wildlife. Me? I was counting the days until we hit land so I could rent a Harley in **North Pole** and ride through Alaska’s raw, endless beauty. There’s something surreal about stepping off a ship, grabbing a bike, and suddenly you’re carving through roads surrounded by mountains that look like they belong in another world.

Then there was **Scotland**, where I decided to go full traditional and ride in a kilt. The Highlands were breathtaking, the wind was unforgettable, and the whole experience felt like rolling through a living postcard.

I also had an incredible ride in **Italy**, where I rented a BMW and spent a couple of days weaving through narrow village streets, mountain passes, and roads that seemed made for motorcycles. The combination of the bike, the scenery, and the rhythm of Italian roads made it one of those rides that stays with you long after you’ve parked the bike.

And this year, I’m taking things even further: **Egypt**. I can already imagine the desert roads, the ancient landscapes, the kind of ride that leaves a mark on you.

Every trip brings the same questions:
Do I camp under the stars or crash in a motel? Do I splurge on a resort for a night or two? Do I ship my own bike, rent one, or buy something local and sell it before heading home?

The answers change every time — and that’s part of the adventure.

🔥 **STURGIS RALLY VIBES — WHO’S BEEN? WHO’S GOING?** 🔥

Alright folks, let me tell you a bit of my own Sturgis Motorcycle Rally experience… because every time I’ve gone, it’s been one hell of a ride.

I can’t swear it’s *officially* the biggest rally in the world, but I *can* tell you this: it’s a sea of bikes and people from every walk of life. Mechanics, CEOs, ranchers, artists, veterans, wanderers, first‑timers, lifers—you name it. And the wild part? Everyone I met was friendly as family. It felt like running into old friends I just hadn’t met yet.

🏍️ **THE RIDING? NEXT LEVEL.**
The Black Hills are absolutely gorgeous. Twisty roads, killer views, and that feeling that you’re riding through a postcard. And yes—there’s literally gold in those hills. Black Hills Gold jewelry is something special. I even bought a ring on one of my trips and wore it for years.

🌦️ **BUT BE WARNED…**
The weather can flip on you fast. One minute sunshine, the next minute you’re questioning your life choices. And the critters? They own the place.
If you ride through Custer State Park, just know: the buffalo don’t care about your schedule. They’ll block the road as long as they feel like it. Patience is part of the adventure.

⛺ **WHERE TO STAY?**
Plan early. Seriously. Everything fills up.
You can camp in someone’s yard, grab an RV spot, rent a cabin, or snag a hotel if you’re lucky. There’s something for every style of rider.
