We have a great team!!!

We are certain you have heard the phrase, “It’s all in the details”. With this expression in mind, please meet our detail-oriented, logistical thinker, Bailey Bartlett. With a longstanding family history in the travel industry, she knew early on that meetings and incentives would be a logical fit. She has shown her aptitude is well beyond her five years of experience and brings a fresh new energy and modern perspective to our team. Diving deep into event program management with her previous career at a transportation and hospitality company, she is especially skilled in logistics, customer service, and operations management. She is also a certified in all aspects of Cvent, our event management software, and can easily facilitate registration and reporting along with web design. Bailey earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication from the University of Tennessee and still loves cheering on the Volunteers! Her favorite things in life include spending time with her dogs, playing games with friends and family, watching football, cooking, baking, and decorating, and is happiest where the ocean meets the sand. Her favorite food is Italian. “Which dish?” you ask? All of them!

It's Friday and time to get to know another Liaisons team member. Today, we would like to introduce you to Angie Buttersworth. Who is she? How did she get started in the "biz"? In 1989, Angie’s father took her to his annual company conference and pointed out a gentleman speaking on a rather large walkie-talkie (the one with the BIG whip antenna) and said, “That is the person who organized this whole thing. That would be a perfect job for you!”. After graduating Northwest Missouri State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Geography, Geology and Business, she began to pave the way for her “perfect” career. A Fortune 500 company taught her expert skills for high-touch, white-glove customer service and a national association gave her the best secrets to trade shows and event management. But it wasn’t until her father started their highly successful family business in motor coach transportation that she learned all about what makes successful meetings and events. 26 years later, Angie still loves making people feel special and taking a vision and creating a memory that lasts a lifetime! Where might you find Angie when she is not working? Check Table Rock Lake in Missouri, or on the road cycling. After cycling or hiking she likes to re-hydrate with a nice glass of wine.

It's time to meet another team member. This week get to know Tracy Mitchell. She came to Liaisons several years ago via SITE - Society for Incentive Travel Excellence Southeast chapter. At the time she already had 10 years of resort and hotel experience, half of which was at the executive level and 5 years of meeting, event and decor planning experience, she was a natural fit. Lynn and Tracy served on the SITE Southeast Summit committee and the rest is history. They bonded over their love of football and their stellar work ethic. Not to mention they both have impeccable taste in wine. Those that know Tracy already know she went to Clemson University and loves her home of Charleston, SC. What you might not know is that she is one of the few people in this crazy industry (or world) who does not drink coffee! She wakes each morning and craves a glass of milk. How has Covid affected her? She has found the incredible skill of teaching her now 3rd grader"old school" math, while taking a conference call and working on a proposal. Multitasking has been taken to another level in her house as I am sure it has in so many houses. When things quite in the evenings and it's time to relax she sits with a glass of Opus One and dreams about sailing through the Whitsundays in Australia. Her favorite place on earth, so far. She can't wait to eat a proper meal in a restaurant. The high end kind with multiple courses and multiple pairings of wine. As long as there is some form of tartar or raw meat or fish dish, an amazing cut of steak with truffle salt and a salted caramel apple dessert she would be a happy lady. If you have any questions for Tracy or any of the team, please feel free to ask below. We are happy to answer even if they are not work related. We all look forward to getting back to person to person incentives, but in the meantime, small gatherings and having a personal concierge is not bad either. Just ask us.

Deborah Cary Kniegge is our Director of Operations and Account Management, which means she keeps our team in pristine working order. You may not know that Deborah graduated from Arizona State with a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism and Communications. No wonder she is an expert at writing creative copy for websites and also effectively transferring information between our team members, clients and vendors. She has over 20 years of experience in the meetings, events and incentive industry, but what keeps her going? When she is not traveling or working with the Liaisons team, you’ll find her off on her next adventure cycling with her husband, hiking with her kids, or practicing yoga. If you wanted to have Deborah over for brunch, serve her some Gluten Free Cinnamon Rolls on the porch of your chalet in Banff, Alberta, Canada. If you have any questions about the state of the industry, how to remain positive in times of adversity or anything else, just ask in the comments below and get to know Deborah even better.

Now that we have had some time to rework our processes, reflect on what is important and restructure how we think about incentive travel, we thought is would be a good time to reintroduce our team to you. Forget boring bios that you can find out our website. But what really makes us tick? Let's first learn about our Executive Director of Sales & Operations, Lynn Beierschmitt-Conerly CMP, CIS. Yes, she has been in the travel industry since 1980 something. Yes she owned Liaisons Meetings & Incentives and sold it to World Travel Service, Inc. in the early 2000's. Yes, she has traveled the world, a few times, but what might she have in common with you? When Lynn is not working she can be found enjoying amazing food and wine with her friends and family. She loves escaping to her lake house and enjoying water skiing or she also can be found in the mountains snow skiing. Her youngest daughter is a recent grad of Alabama, so football is life. When she's not cheering for Alabama, she is rooting for Penn State. Her eldest daughter is in Vail, Colorado and her son is in New Orleans. Her and her husband always have great places to visit to be with family. If you are going to invite Lynn over for dinner, you should serve her tuna sushi in both roll and Sashimi style, paired with a great Spanish wine. If you happen to book a trip to the Sabi Sabi Bush Lodge in South Africa, be sure to invite her. Afterall, that is her favorite place on earth. If there is anything else you wish to ask Lynn, please do so in the comments section. She will be answering questions all week. Have a great weekend everyone and wash those hands.
