Another amazing day in port in the quaint little town of Ketchikan. We saw a fun Lumberjack competition, ate A LOT of delicious crab legs and shopped up and down the historic, colorful Creek Street. I’m officially in love with our 49th state and may have to buy another suitcase to bring home all our souvenirs😂

Today we visited Glacier Bay National Park and it’s truly the most beautiful place I’ve ever seen. Pictures and videos just don’t do it justice and I just don’t have words to describe the way it makes you feel when experiencing it firsthand.

We were able to see a whale spout, bald eagles, mountain goats, otters and an enormous brown bear during our visit and the weather was absolutely stunning. The park ranger that came onboard said it rains over 200 days a year in the park and the other 90% of the time its cloudy and overcast with dense fog. We were blessed with abundant sunshine and no fog.

Visiting Glacier Bay was a bucket list item for me and one of the main reasons I chose this ship and itinerary. Not all cruise lines or ships are able to visit the park and only two ships are allowed to visit each day to help preserve the natural beauty of the park.

Second port of call was the quaint little town of Skagway. There are only 900 people who live here year round.

Our excursion was the White Pass & Yukon Route Railway. They drove us to the top of a mountain right on the Canadian border in a bus with a couple of stops along the way for the beautiful scenery. Then we boarded the train for the trip back down.

The weather really cooperated with us and the views and scenery at the top were truly breathtaking!

A little rain didn’t stop us from having the best day in Juneau - our first port of call. The downtown area is a short walk from the ship and easy to get to. Our whale watching excursion through Harv & Marv’s was a 10/10! We were able to see a pod of orcas (which only happens once or twice a month according to our guide) and some humpbacks as well. Then some yummy crab legs for lunch at Tracy’s King Crab Shack.

Spent a fun couple of days in San Francisco before sailing to Alaska. Enjoyed Fisherman’s Wharf and Pier 39, ate some good seafood, rode on a cable car, saw the Golden Gate Bridge and visited Alcatraz. Now onto the Ruby Princess for the next 11 nights!

A truly EPIC day.

A HUGE thank you to Magical Vacation Planner & Universal Orlando Resort for inviting us to Epic Universe and for surprising us with a VIP tour!

I can’t recommend this enough - hands down one of the best theme park experiences I’ve ever had. Everything was seamless, stress-free and magical. Our guide Katie whisked us to the front of the line (yes, EVERY line) and plopped us down in a reserved seating section for both shows.

It was 98 degrees today so having the ability to bypass the lines was truly amazing. We were able to experience all 11 rides (some multiple times) and both shows in just under 8 hours. And that included a stop for lunch.

If you’re heading to Epic Universe and really want to make the most of your time, why not splurge on a VIP tour? EPIC UNIVERSE: How to Train Your Dragon - Isle of Berk🐉

This land is set in the Viking village of Berk - where dragons soar and adventures await. There are dragons literally everywhere you look and roaming characters like Ruffnut & Tuffnut as well as a very popular meet & greet with Hiccup & Toothless!

There are three rides in this land, one live show and a Viking play area for children. We experienced two of the three rides and part of the live show on this visit (the show had technical difficulties) and they were all unique and fun. We also enjoyed a very delicious snack - PB & J Mac and cheese cone from Hooligan’s Grog & Gruel. I will definitely be getting one of those again.

The theming in Isle of Berk is authentic and immersive. It truly feels like you’re walking through a Viking village straight out of the film franchise. I can’t wait to get back and spend more time in this beautiful land.
