One of the reasons I went into healthcare as my chosen career, even though it had literally nothing to do what I went to school for, was my genuine love of helping people. You could say it’s my love language. This is also a big driver for why I wanted to become a travel agent.

I have a friend that lives near where the hurricane hit in Florida so I wanted to check on her today and make sure her and her children were safe and if they needed anything. She’d mentioned they drove over to another nearby city because they’d lost power and she was going to try and find a hotel that still had power so they could wait for their place to get turned back on. I’d have offered to look for hotels for her regardless, but I was so happy to be able to help her find a place that was in a safe area and had what she needed in the room to make sure her kids had everything they needed. I know she’s been so worried and stressed over their first hurricane season in Florida, so I was so happy to be able to take a little bit off of her plate, and get her a discounted rate than what was published ❤️

This is what happens when I’m gone for a few days. The next week, I have a stage five clinger 🤣

Not so friendly reminder/warning to people who are going on a cruise or the the Bahamas: ma*****na is still exceptionally illegal both onboard and on the islands. Federal Maritime Laws still recognize ma*****na as a Class 1 substance and is illegal, regardless of states decriminalizing.

This is not a lesson you want to learn the hard way! I have a client on a trip right now who’s witnessed someone pouring out a sunscreen bottle into a cup (snuck liquor on the ship 🤦🏼‍♀️ -also a big way to get in a ton of trouble!) and a passenger being confined to their cabin for smoking ma*****na in the room with a 24-hour security detail. They will be disembarked tomorrow at the port and lucky if their only punishment is to have to get themselves home on their own dime and a lifetime ban from the cruise line/all sister cruise lines. They could likely face criminal charges too.

These are always some of my absolute favorite moments from being a travel agent! My little buddy went on his first plane ride to Florida where they get to spend tomorrow exploring Miami before they set sail for the Bahamas on everyone’s first Carnival Cruise Line adventure!! Thank you Delta Air Lines for making his experience so wonderful that he’s already created a core memory from today ❤️🥰
