******RESULTS from the 2024 - 2025 Bass Pro Shops High School Tournament Series Classic on Douglas*****
Congratulations to all our winners! This has been a great season and we look forward to next season! We had a great crowd show up for the final weigh in for the season. A big thank you goes out to Bass Pro Shops in Kodak, TN for sponsoring this event. Also, thank you to Tim Short Ford, Hearthside Bank, and Dream Furniture. Tim Short Ford sponsored the high school big bass award and Dream Furniture sponsored the junior big bass award. Hearthside Bank sponsored the Team of the Year awards for the high school and junior teams that finished 1st in points in their division.
29 boats showed up to compete Saturday June 7 for the 2024 - 2025 Bass Pro Shops High School Tournament Series Classic on Douglas Lake. All boats were due back in at the ramp by 1:30 and headed to Bass Pro Shops in Kodak, TN for the weigh-in. Weigh-in started at 2 pm out in front of Bass Pro Shops in Kodak, TN. Anglers were driven through in their boats to bring their catch to the scales. Almost every team brought a limit of 3 fish to the scales.
On the high school division, the team of Ty Mays and Mason Sziksai, from Bell County High School, brought a limit of fish weighing 9.00 lbs and took home a trophy and $200 Bass Pro Shops gift card each. Second place went to the team of Canyon Padgett and Levi Thompson, of Temple Baptist Church, with a limit of fish weighing 8.38 lbs. which netted them a trophy and $100 Bass Pro Shops gift card each. Third place went to Hunter Owens and Clayton Kelley, from Karns High School, with 8.34 fish and a trophy and $50 Bass Pro Shops gift card each. 4th place went to Mason Pike and Cayden Black, from Grace Christian Academy, with 7.68 lbs. worth a plaque and $50 Bass Pro Shops gift card each. 5th place went to Grayson Dikes and Paxton Wormsley, from Campbell County High School, with 7.65 lbs, worth a plaque and $50 Bass Pro Shops gift card each.
At the top of the junior division was the team of Brody Bible and Sawyer Mynatt, from Karns High School, with a limit of fish weighing 7.45 lbs. which netted them a trophy and $100 Bass Pro Shops gift card each. Second place went to Levi Goins and Isaac Wilson, from Campbell County Middle School, with a limit of fish weighing 6.65 lbs. which netted them $50 Bass Pro Shops gift card each. Third place went to Colin Bourne and Crews Mcferrin, from Karns High School, with 6.57 lbs. and was worth $50 Bass Pro Shops gift card each. Fourth place went to Wyatt Wilson and Brody Sanders, from Bell County High School, with 5.22 lbs. worth $50 Bass Pro Shops gift card each. Fifth place went to Parker DeFoe and John David Carrroll, from Berean Christian Eagles, with 5.18 lbs. worth$50 Bass Pro Shops gift card each.
Lunker on the high school side went to Ty Mays and Mason Sziksai, from Bell County High School, weighing 4.75 lbs. and was worth a plaque and $150 cash. Lunker on the high school side was sponsored by Tim Short Ford in Lafollette, TN.
Lunker on the junior side went to Brody Bible and Sawyer Mynatt, from Karns High School, weighing 3.00 lbs. and was worth a plaque and $100 cash. Lunker on the junior side was sponsored by Dream Furniture in Middlesboro, KY.
Our Team of the year award were sponsored by Hearthside Bank. The high school Team of the Year was Hunter Owens and Clayton Kelly, from Karns High School, and they received a plaque and $300 cash. The junior team of the year was Parker DeFoe and John David Carroll, from Berean Christian Eagles, and they received a plaque and $200 cash.
