Mbutha River, Vanua Levu, Islands, in our collapsable kayak. Guess where I was before this picture :) remains one of my favorite resorts in the Northern Fiji Islands. Pronounced . We use to lug this 85lb behemoth around with us with our dive gear! Yes, this is me :)

Flying into Apia, Samoa for a quick stop on my way to Fiji in October. What a gorgeous view! Samoa is a very special destination with a few sweet boutique resorts. The last time I was there was 2008. We spent about 10 days there on Upolu & Savai’i islands. I think it’s about time to go again :). This time I’ll add a few days in American Samoa. It’s just a 1 hour flight from Apia. I can then check another island country off my Island Life List :). Samoa is Polynesian unlike Fiji, who are Melanesian, so the culture is quite different. Samoa opened in September and still requires visitors to be vaccinated. Let me know when you are ready to explore the South Pacific and we will make it happen…..
