Start your morning at Kei Cafe with a delicious Teddy Gram latte and take a few steps to the right and put your toes in the sand. Walk down the Kure Beach Pier or cast a line 🎣

After having a slow morning out on the beach, enjoy a delicious burger from Beach House Burgers. Round it all out with some time at the beach with your pup any time after 5 p.m. all summer long 🐕 🌊

🚨 A $65 million-dollar renovation is about to take place at the NC Aquarium at Fort Fisher.

The aquarium closes on May 26 to begin the work. The total project is expected to take at least two years, and no part of the property will be open to the public.

When the renovation is finished, the Fort Fisher Aquarium will boast the largest shark habitat in the state (400,000 gallons!)

You’ll enjoy interactive touch pools, an education center, and rooftop skydeck with stunning views of the nature surrounding.

A satellite location of the aquarium, called Discovery Bay, will operate out of the Independence Mall with an opening date anticipated in mid June.

Remember, tickets must be reserved online, so be sure to grab yours before they close 🎟️

The Kure Community Fest is TOMORROW at Ocean Front Park from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. 🏖️ . The town is waiving parking fees for the day in town-owned parking spaces ONLY.

Catch live music, a comedy magic show, costumed characters, food trucks, local artists and crafters, mini golf, and much more at this year’s spring celebration ☀️

It's official. We're in the clear with no cold weather coming anytime soon. Bask in the sun on our beautiful beach, explore rich history at Fort Fisher State Historic Site, see the otter pups at NC Aquarium at Fort Fisher, go off roading on the beach at the Fort Fisher Recreation Area, and watch stunning sunsets over Zeke's Island.
