🚲 Bike Ride with the Mayor Highlights Exciting Regional Connection! 🌉

Big things are rolling forward for active transportation in our region! A recent bike ride with the mayor helped shine a spotlight on the vision of creating stronger connections between La Crescent and La Crosse through future trail and transportation improvements.

Projects like this support more than recreation; they create opportunities for tourism, healthier lifestyles, safer travel options, and stronger connections between our communities and local businesses.

We’re excited to see conversations and momentum continue around making it easier to explore all our area has to offer, on two wheels and beyond! 🚴‍♀️🍎

🎄✨ Holiday Magic Just Across the River! ✨🎄

We’re excited to share that Rotary Lights, La Crosse in Riverside Park was featured in BRAVA Magazine for its 31st year of holiday wonder, with over 3 million lights shining bright!

Take a drive, enjoy a walk, or hop on a carriage ride through the park. And don’t forget, Santa is there nightly through December 23! 🎅

Migration is underway! Recent sightings and recommended viewing locations are posted on our website: https://www.fws.gov/story/recent-bird-sightings and are updated as staff and volunteers have time to stop for counts. We welcome your observations from these locations too!

With mild fall temperatures and little ice on the river, tundra swans may not be concentrated directly in front of viewing locations, but there are several thousand swans present across Pools 5, 7 and 8, where we've been able to stop for updates over the past several days. We're so excited that they're here!
