We are on a roll with updates here at the cottage! We finally figured out how to offer an upstairs shower option AND speckled the basement shower AND pulled the wallpaper and painted in the back room. Will update more pictures tonight or tomorrow!

So sorry to say that after so much beloved feedback on our - someone loved it a little too much, and took it home for themselves… Until we figure out a replacement, we will not have a weighted blanket at the cottage. I have removed it from listing info and hope to get a new one here, soon.

I try really hard to appreciate a little gifts the universe gives us no matter how small. I have a really weird thing about having a very hard time trying food away. I got peaches the other day and II went to grab one to eat this morning and the whole bag was moldy. I don’t even know how it happened so fast, So I sadly dumped the whole bag out in the compost bin while kind of pouted about how I hated to waste it and just really wanted a peach. Got here to clean the Ladd rental and the renters left nothing but a bag full of peaches in the fridge…. Thanks universe. Appreciate you. Call it irony, call it coincidence, call it manifestation, call it whatever you want… but it is pretty cool when that stuff happens.

Yes it’s 2am and I’m working on photos 😆 but look! We officially have a twin trundle set in the 2nd bedroom (now that it has a sprinkler in it) and a twin pullout couch with the King in the main room. Makes me so happy to make progress on this big step!

Truth time! Last month the Cottage got a feedback that really bummed me out. A person left us 3 stars complaining that it was boring and in the middle of nowhere. Naturally this was disappointing to see but the person checking out today (and so many others before them) left the sweetest note that reminded me that the Cottage is exactly as it should be. It’s relaxing, it’s quiet, it’s peace. Read a book, go for a walk, catch a sunset, paint some rocks, play a board game… in all the busy hustle and bustle of life I hope you can come enjoy the calm at the Cookie Cottage.
