Oh hey, I'm posting again. I'm finding it really hard to find the motivation to post, but I also have lots of fun cakes I want to share, so slowly but surely I will try to keep posting even as hard as it is to get on Instagram and not get sucked down the rabbit hole if all the badness in the world right now. I want to keep my posts a positive piece for people to keep their mind off things but I will continue to share my outrage and views in my stories. Choose what you want to see for your own well being and mental health. 💕

Here are some close ups of my kiddos birthday cake that I shared awhile ago. Some little koroks hiding in the forest, a buttercream transfer of the image of Link from the Windwaker game and in the last slide you can see the gaggle of korok plushies I made as favors for him and his friends. They were fun to make, but my fingers hurt from hand stitching all their little faces.

Better late than never. My kiddo's birthday cake and cookies from his birthday party last month. He chose a Zelda theme again, but specifically Koroks and Windwaker. It ended up being mostly Korok themed as I spent the month before his party sewing 14 stuffed koroks as favors plus a big Hestu korok for him. Then got these cookies and his cake made the last couple days leading up to his party. It was a busy few weeks but totally worth it as he and his buddies all had a blast hunting koroks in the woods. Then enjoyed some delicious cake and korok cookies.

Pretty in purple! 💜

I made a delicious birthday cake last month for my sister . Since her favorite color is purple, I had to cover it in pretty purple frosting and top it off with purple glittery cherries.

The cake flavor was cherry chip and was filled and frosted in vanilla whipped cream cheese frosting. The only complaint was that it needed more frosting. 😁

This pretty little baby cake holds a secret. Is it a boy or a girl? Blue or pink? What is your guess?

Chocolate 4" cake filled with vanilla buttercream and covered with chocolate buttercream. The cute little hearts are from and are sugared rice crackers. They came with the pink and white so I dyed some of them blue.

Merry Christmas, a day late. 🎄🎁☃️

Christmas day, and the whole month, went by in a blur. We spent the day together opening gifts, enjoying family, eating, drinking, watching movies and playing games. I hope you all enjoyed your day yesterday if you celebrate.

I didn't get around to any intricate cookie decorating, but got some of these cute gingerbread shapes simply decorated to go into cookie boxes. Sometimes simple is best.

My Christmas cookie baking began at the beginning of the month and I fully intended on posting each type of cookies for the 12 days leafing up to Christmas. However, I completely forgot so here I am finally posting the first type of cookie.

Traditional German Lebkuchen was added to my cookie lineup last year and I couldn't wait to get to baking it this year. This soft, chewy gingerbread is so addictive and delicious. They get better over time so these were baked up a couple weeks ago and I have been fighting the temptation every day since. I have given in and had a couple but saved most of them for Christmas and cookie boxes.

This sweet "gingerbread" unicorn cake has been waiting all year to make her debut. I made her back in January but decided I just had to wait to show her off at Christmas time. I made her at the same time as her sister, the snowy winter unicorn.

While not actually made of gingerbread other than her ears, she sure looks like she is. I actually don't recall what flavor of cake this one was but the frosting was probably chocolate. Either way, she's beautiful and was delicious.

On another note, it is finally beginning to look a lot like Christmas around our house. Most of our decorations are up and I've been baking lots of cookies in preparation for cookie boxes, gifts and our own Christmas celebration. Are you all decorated for the holidays?

Life is a highway and driving by too fast. Time keeps getting away from me but here I am, finally posting the rest of my 13 year old's birthday cake from last month. He made a list of classic cars he wanted me to put on his cake. He then had to narrow it down by about half or this cake would have had to have been much bigger. Then my wonderful husband resized the images my son found online and printed them out so I could turn them into buttercream transfers.

His request for the flavor; chocolate, chocolate and chocolate. I obliged and he got a fudgy chocolate cake, filled with chocolate mousse and covered in chocolate buttercream. Pretty much chocolate heaven.

Which is your favorite car? I really like the blue one and the red one in the last slide.
