Known as the best summer camp in Dutchess County. A place where children experience a wide array of activities

Camp Hillcroft, a non sectarian camp, was founded in 1950 by the Buttinger family. It is located in Dutchess County on Rte. 55, about 20 minutes east of Poughkeepsie. It’s a Summer Day Camp where children pre-k through 9th grade learn to do things for themselves and others.

Nadine- our amazing water front director, she gets the pool staff through orientation and the first couple weeks of camp!🤿💙

David OS- teaches our campers everything outdoor related, including how to make a fire, pitch a tent, and mushroom knowledge ⛺️🍄

David Wood Shop- the man with all the knowledge. Need to know a fact, find David! He is passionate about woodworking and helps the campers design super cool projects!🪵🪚

Nurse Laura- a true Hillcrofter. A former camper, counselor, and now a camp parent who comes all the way from Rochester to spend a couple weeks with us in the infirmary taking care of our campers and staff. ⛑️🩹

Christina- a camp mom who loves to help kids explore and create using their imagination and recycled materials 🪺🎨

Danielle- another camp mom who brings her creavity to jewelry making. Her camper is hooked on camp so expect to see Danielle in the art shop for the rest of her life💎🪡✨

Emily- our next waterfront director who was a camper, counselor and a camp mom for years. She has dedicated so much love to our pools and makes sure everything runs smoothly! 💙🏊‍♀️

Steph- Our weaving cave master! She brings the whole family from Florida every summer to come work with our looms, she prides herself in helping campers be creative and her attention to detail is amazing! 🧶🧣

Keila- Even though she only started working at camp in 2026 she fit right into our kitchen staff! Making sure pasta was cooked and lunches were ready for hungry hungry campers! She was always smiling and ready to work🍝🌭🍕

Cain- our team sports mastermind. Cain is always coming up with new ideas and games for the campers to play while encouraging participation and team work! He even introduced campers gaelic football to our older campers and they loved it🏈🏀🎾

Shea- former camper turned counselor. It has been a pleasure watching him mature into a role model for our campers. He is always participating and making sure our campers are having fun!💚🕶️

Talia- a camp mom who cannot stop coming back! An art teacher during the school year who brings her passion to Little Art at camp! Keeping the campers happy and loving art! 🖼️🎨👨‍🎨
