You may see social media posts about Kenya Safaris being over run with vehicles. Yes there are some areas just within the gates of the Maasai Mara Reserve that get very busy. This was my experience without another vehicle in sight. Once you get into the depths of the Mara Triangle you can enjoy the vastness and stillness without another vehicle in sight. . I got to enjoy viewing a lion feasting on a zebra for lunch as the only safari van there all thanks to my amazing guide with Wildlife Safari

A day in Maasai Mara checking out some of the amazing lodges. First up Angama Mara | Angama Amboseli | Angama Safari Camp - 2 x 15 tent lodges up on the escarpment with incredible views and amazing accommodation - a less immersive experience with the wildlife - next 3 camps in one at Governors’ Camp Collection - Newly opened Wilderness Mara ( previously Lill’ Governors) then Il Moran and finally Governors. 3 camps - 3 price points offering very immersive experience with elephants and many other animals walking through camp. Finally Mara Intrepids Camp - right on the river offering a bigger camp with 30 tents but again a very immersive experience. I stayed at Mara Ngenche Safari Camp again right on the river with only 10 tents so great for a smalll group.
It’s great to get an understanding of the different offerings and for groups & incentives it’s about working with Your DMC like Wildlife Safari to find the right size lodge at the right price point to allow exclusive use of the camp.
