Heading into the final major summer weekend with one goal: Leave every place better than when you got there. We're all visitors when it comes to our time on this planet, so here are a few reminders for everyone as we enjoy some time outside this Labor Day Weekend:

🚮 No trash left behind! Pick up any trash you pass and use the receptacles available around you.

🌊 We're guests in Laguna's marine environment… be sure to maintain safe distances from any marine life you see on the shore or in the water.

🛟 Never turn your back on the ocean, and always ask your nearest lifeguard about water conditions to ensure you approach with caution and all the information you need.

Seven miles of beautiful coastline, pristine canyons, crystal clear waters… and hundreds of little corners that somebody has to care about.

Fortunately, somebody does.

The city’s new Partnership is built around a wonderfully simple idea: local businesses help out by putting a little extra into taking care of their own unique corner of Laguna. One thing leads to another, and suddenly one clean storefront becomes a clean block. One clean block becomes a clean street. And all those little corners start adding up to something pretty wonderful.

To the businesses already taking the pledge: thank you for helping keep Laguna clean. To the rest of us, when you see the Proud Clean Laguna Partner badge around town, give them a little love for the love they’re giving Laguna.

Take it all in. Leave nothing behind.

Three volunteers in 1971 dedicated their lives to the health of our marine life. Today, The Pacific Marine Mammal Center is home to over 250 volunteers and 30 employees who provide educational experiences for over 35,000 students per year and continue to save countless lives of seals and sea lions-- and they're just getting started.

The 'New Wave' expansion of PMMC will increase the standards of animal care, improve research capacities, provide more opportunities for education, and save 15,000 gallons of water each day with the installation of a new water reclamation plant.

Follow to see their mission in action and learn more about their next era in 'building a better ocean'.

Laguna's most iconic hotels & resorts celebrate the city's history as an art colony by incorporating the work of local artists into their space.

The photos featured are works created by John Barber, renowned glass blower and beloved artist from Laguna Beach. During his lifetime, he was a staple at the Sawdust Art Festival and is credited to shaping the public art scene in our city. Featured above is "Eternal Sunset", a backlit bas-relief masterpiece using rare pate de verre glass casting techniques to depict a glowing local coastline sunset. The "Eucalyptus Lanterns" also pay homage to Laguna's landscapes, welcoming guests to Montage Laguna Beach and allowing John's legacy to live on forever.
