Helicopters. 🚁
Trains. 🚂
Cars. 🚗
Boats. 🚤

All. In. One. Day.

I honestly had no idea what I was getting into when I booked a private guide for Iguazu Falls… but WOW. What a day.

I went UNDER a waterfall.
I saw views I never thought I’d see in my lifetime.
I walked approximately 47,000 steps (okay, maybe slightly less, but it felt like Everest).
It was 95 degrees in the shade with humidity that could melt your mascara.
Bugs? Yes.
Sweat? Also yes.

Regrets? Absolutely none.

Was it insane? Completely.
Would I do it again? In a heartbeat.

And here’s the truth: there are so many moving parts to doing Iguazu right — crossings, timing, trains, boats, helicopters, lines, logistics. If you try to DIY this, it could easily turn into chaos. I didn’t wait in a single line. Not one. My guide handled everything seamlessly.

This is exactly why I always say: get the guide. Do it right.

Iguazu Falls is not just a “see it” destination — it’s a full-body, soak-you, thrill-you experience. And I loved every second of it.

This is Jamie from Village Travel Laguna Beach — and yes, I have the greatest guide ever.

If Iguazu is on your bucket list, call me. Trust me on this one.

🙈🙉🙊 Hear no evil. See no evil. Speak no evil…

Well, apparently no one told the monkeys.

When we checked in, they very seriously warned us:
“Lock your doors. The monkeys will take your things. They’ll get into your room. They’ll steal from your refrigerator.”

We laughed.

They weren’t kidding.

Within hours, here they are… perched on the balcony, casing the place like tiny jungle bandits. 😂

That said — while the rooms may not be my absolute favorite, the resort grounds and this pool overlooking Iguazú Falls? Absolutely spectacular. The setting alone makes it worth it. Lush jungle, wildlife at your doorstep, and one of the most breathtaking views in the world.

For the experience and the location, I would absolutely recommend it. Just… lock your door. 🙈

Punta del Este, Uruguay

If South America had a Rodeo Drive, this might be it. Chic, beautiful, a little glam, definitely more upscale — and absolutely stunning. Warm sunshine, ocean breeze, and a vibe that honestly reminds me of Laguna Beach.

It’s quickly become one of my favorite stops in Uruguay, second only to Buenos Aires. The beaches, the energy, the style — it’s just awesome here.

And yes, we had empanadas again. At this point, they’re officially our signature food of South America and we are fully committed. No regrets.

Traveling with friends, soaking it all in, and loving every minute of this adventure.

Highly recommend adding Punta del Este to your list if you’re exploring Uruguay. It’s worth it.

🌊 Greetings from Puerto Madryn! 🇦🇷✨

We’re in this beautiful coastal town and absolutely loving it. Puerto Madryn isn’t crowded at all — it’s safe, clean, and so local. Today we wandered through the town, enjoyed a long walk by the water, and soaked in this lovely pace of life.

Picked up some local specialties too — a delicious jam made from Calafia grapes (unique to this region 🍇) and some incredible chocolates (didn’t know chocolates were such a thing here!).

This is our second-to-last stop on this adventure with our dear friends, and we’re truly loving every moment. 💙

Scenic cruising through the Strait of Magellan tonight… and wow. 🌊

I may not be a history expert, but I do know this — these are the waters explorers used hundreds of years ago to get from the Atlantic to the Pacific before the Panama Canal. Pretty amazing to think about while sitting at dinner with a glass of wine and this view.

Calm seas, gorgeous light, and one of those “how lucky are we?” kind of nights. This is why I love cruising these remote parts of the world.

Last time we came this far south, we sailed straight through the Drake Passage and missed this moment. But this time… we crossed from the west side of South America to the east side — rounding the legendary Cape Horn.

The End of the Earth.

Usually this stretch is known for wild winds and rough seas… but today? Glassy water. Clear skies. Full visibility. We were so lucky.

If you ever get the chance to sail Cape Horn — do it. It’s powerful, humbling, and absolutely bucket-list worthy.

Celebrity put together an incredible day for us. Perfect weather. Epic views. Unforgettable crossing.

Enjoy the video and photos — this was a very good day at the end of the world.

Last time we cruised down here, we sailed straight through the Drake Passage and never had this view. But this time… we crossed from the west side of South America to the east side — and that is something special.

Cape Horn. The End of the Earth.

Normally this stretch of water is wild, windy, and unforgiving. But today? Calm seas. Clear skies. Perfect visibility. We could see everything. We truly got lucky.

If you ever have the opportunity to sail around Cape Horn, take it. It’s absolutely stunning and one of those true bucket-list moments that reminds you how small you are in the best possible way.

Celebrity did such a fantastic job putting this together for us. Incredible views, perfect weather, unforgettable experience.

Enjoy the video and photos — this was a very, very good day at the end of the world.

Montevideo totally surprised me today — such a beautiful mix of old-world charm and coastal energy. We wandered through historic plazas, admired the colorful architecture, and strolled along the waterfront with the ocean breeze coming in. The city feels relaxed but vibrant at the same time, with so many little cafés and local spots that make you want to just keep exploring. Best part of the day was sharing it all with great friends, Tammy and Alan. Truly one of those travel days that reminds you why you love seeing the world.
