A classic Disney dining hidden gem you might be passing right by. 🪵✨

Boatwright’s Dining Hall inside Disney’s Port Orleans Resort completely surprised us with its immersive storytelling. The entire space is designed to look like a historic Louisiana shipbuilder’s workshop, complete with authentic tools, soaring wooden beams, and a massive, partially constructed riverboat keel hanging overhead.

It is the absolute perfect, cozy atmosphere to unwind after a hectic day in the theme parks. We kicked things off with a fantastic bread service and garlic butter, followed by a delicious shrimp pasta dish and a loaded wedge salad with grilled chicken that exceeded all of our expectations. 🍤🥗

Which Disney Moderate Resort side are you on?

While Disney’s Port Orleans Resort - Riverside is famous for its massive, sprawling, and expansive southern charm, stepping over to the French Quarter side changes the vibe completely.

Port Orleans - French Quarter leans heavily into that classic New Orleans inspiration—think compact layouts, incredibly easy-to-navigate pathways, colorful buildings, and decorative iron railings that make you feel like you've been transported straight to the Big Easy. It's the perfect, cozy contrast to Riverside!

UPDATE on Muppets: On my second run, the volume was much better - it was too low on my first ride. The preshow and gags are really funny now that I know what to look for (I love the references to the Aerosmith show). But the ride itself is underwhelming to me (sorry, I really want to love it!) Muppets singing popular songs is just "ok" to me.
