I know, I know… it’s September. And I’m already talking about Christmas.

But if you’re dreaming about traveling for the holidays this year (and quite honestly, next year too), now is the time to get it on the books!

Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, Jollywood Nights, Christmas in the Wizarding World, Thanksgiving at the parks, New Year’s Eve… holiday trips have SO many fun extras, but they also come with limited availability.

The good resorts, room types, flights and special events aren’t going to get more available the longer you wait.

So consider this your friendly reminder: it’s not too early to plan holiday travel!

Every trip has a reason behind it and lately I’ve gotten to help plan some really special ones. ❤️

✨ A daughter’s very first visit to Walt Disney World — because there’s nothing quite like experiencing it for the first time through someone you love.

✨ A sailing on Icon of the Seas in memory of someone who never got the chance to go — turning a trip they once dreamed about into a meaningful way to remember them.

✨ A first anniversary — celebrating one year of marriage at a luxurious all inclusive resort.

✨ And one of my favorites: celebrating life just because. No milestone required. Sometimes being here, just being together, and having the opportunity to see somewhere new is reason enough.

These are the parts of travel planning I love most. Yes, I will happily nerd out over resort options, itineraries, dining reservations, and all the tiny details that make a trip run smoothly. But behind all of that planning is a why.

A first. A milestone. A memory. A person. Or simply a reminder to enjoy this life while we get to live it.

Back-to-school season is here, and even though I’m not a parent, I can’t help noticing all the fun school supplies popping up everywhere!

And as a travel advisor, I’m always looking at things through the lens of "Would this also be great for a trip?" 😂

A few back-to-school finds that double perfectly as travel essentials:

✨Disney or character-themed backpacks — Great for school now, but also the perfect size for a park bag, personal item on the plane, or kids' carry-on. (My sister has one of the cutest backpacks, as you can see here!)

✨ Reusable snack containers — Disney-themed makes them more fun, but the real win is having easy snacks ready for school days AND long travel days.

✨Fun notebooks, pens & stationery — Whether they're themed around Disney, Harry Potter, favorite characters, or places you love, these are great for school. I love the idea of bringing a little notebook along for kids to journal or draw during a trip.

✨Reusable water bottles — An obvious school essential that earns its keep all over again at theme parks, airports, road trips, and sightseeing days.

✨Personalized bag tags — Cute on a school backpack now and very useful when that same bag becomes a carry-on later!

And here's your friendly travel-advisor reminder: while you're planning for the school year, it's also time to start looking ahead at those school breaks. 👀

February break, April break, summer vacation…those dates can sneak up quickly, and families across your school district are often trying to travel at the exact same time.

So while you're checking pencils and backpacks off the list, it might not be a bad time to add “plan our next vacation” to it too!

The top question I’m asked about Walt Disney World is…

…usually something logistical 😅

“How long will it take us to get to the parks?”
“What’s the easiest way to get there?”
“Should we drive, take Disney transportation, or use rideshare?”
“Which park should we start with based on where we’re staying?”

And honestly? These questions matter more than people realize.

One of the biggest perks of staying on Disney property is the transportation system. Between buses, Skyliner, monorail, and boats, Disney makes it much easier to navigate a very large destination, but knowing how to use it strategically is what really helps your trip feel smoother.

That’s one of the biggest ways I help my clients behind the scenes. I’m constantly helping families figure out the logistics of where to go, how to get there efficiently, and how to avoid wasting valuable vacation time crisscrossing property unnecessarily.

Dinner with a view is not hard to find at Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa 🌺

One of my favorite spots on property is ‘AMA‘AMA, the signature oceanfront restaurant at Aulani. The atmosphere alone is enough to make you want to linger a little longer, especially around sunset, but the food absolutely lives up to the view too.

‘AMA‘AMA focuses on fresh island-inspired flavors and locally sourced ingredients. It’s the kind of dinner that becomes part of the vacation memory…relaxing, beautiful, and uniquely Hawaiʻi.
