A brand new theme park, Universal Kids, opened near me in Frisco, Tx this month….I visited this week with my 9 year old and wanted to share my experience and opinion on it as a Travel Agent as well as a local mom of two boys ages 9 & 11!

Is Universal Kids Resort worth it? Absolutely - but it depends on who you’re traveling with.

I’d recommend it for families with younger kids (especially ages 9 and under), character lovers, grandparents, or anyone looking for a fun, low-stress theme park day…the park was designed for kids ages 3-9 and they did a great job on it for that demographic! (but even as an adult, I enjoyed it as well!)

What stood out most?
🎟️ The park is beautiful & incredibly clean
🗺️ Very easy to navigate
🤩 Team members were amazing
🎢 Even on a busy day, wait times were minimal
🛍️ Fun character themed merch & snacks
💦 Thoughtful touches throughout like shaded play areas, splash pads, and sensory-friendly spaces

This is not a thrill park, but it’s not trying to be! If your family is looking for big roller coasters, you may want to set different expectations or skip this one. But if your kids love interactive play, meeting characters, and age-appropriate rides, this is an easy one-day park that delivers exactly what it promises.

Bottom line: For families with young children, I think Universal Kids Resort is absolutely worth a visit. Do I think it’s worth making a special trip just to come here? No. But if you are in the area as a local or visiting this part of Texas, I would definitely recommend spending a day here if this is something that your family would enjoy!

New in Nassau: the Royal Beach Club opened a few months ago - and it’s a whole new level of cruise beach day. I spent the day there earlier this year while on the Celebrity Reflection and it was a highlight of our cruise! ☀️

Located on Paradise Island, this all-inclusive beach club experience is exclusive to Royal Caribbean and Celebrity guests and designed to make your Nassau stop feel effortless and elevated. 

A few highlights:
🌴 Two beautiful beaches + three pools
🍹 The world’s largest swim-up bar
🍽️ Included dining with a Bahamian twist
🎶 Live music, culture, and island vibes everywhere you turn

You do need to purchase a day pass to go here, and capacity is limited, so it’s something you’ll want to plan ahead for (and I can help you with this as your Travel Agent!)

If your Royal Caribbean or Celebrity cruise stops in Nassau, this is one of the easiest (and most fun) ways to turn your port day into a highlight of the trip!
