Did you know that in order to participate in Stay & Scream at Halloween Horror Nights, you have to enter the park by 5pm? 👀

Guests can use a day ticket or purchase a special Scream Early ticket to take advantage of lower wait times on select houses that open before the official start of HHN. Day guests can enter any time after park open, while guests with a Scream Early ticket can enter the park as early as 2pm this year. Just find a wristband distribution location to scan your HHN ticket, grab your wristband, and start your night early! 🎃

Our first night, we were cutting it very close on time. Did you think we would make it from the bus stop, through security AND through CityWalk to the park entrance with only 13 minutes to spare? 😅

Traveling with a food allergy can be so nerve-wracking, but Disney and Universal has made it such a breeze recently! Check out some of the things I’ve eaten on my recent trips 🍽️

While sailing on the Disney Destiny, I had incredible experiences in the main dining rooms and at our Palo brunch. I still dream about my gnocchi and wood-fired pizza. I don’t think I’ll ever sail Disney again without making a reservation at Palo! 🍕

This year for Mickey‘s Not-So-Scary and Epcot’s Food and Wine Festival, Disney released allergen guides for their event menus in the app. While the cast members cannot flag these items in the system with an allergy when you order, rest assured that the guides are correct. If you have any questions about cross-contamination or ingredients, always ask to speak to a chef 🧑‍🍳

Universal also releases an allergy guide for their Halloween Horror Nights’ menus. I was surprised by how much I was actually able to eat this year! My favorite was definitely the pizza skull 💀

Special shout out to Frosty Moon’s vegan ice cream that even Hayley couldn’t tell was dairy free! 🍨

What I pack in my park bag as a theme park girlie with an autoimmune disease 🎒

💧 The most important thing to pack is a refillable water bottle. Getting dehydrated is something any park-goer wants to avoid. Having water with you at all times is a good reminder to keep drinking and stay hydrated, especially in the heat!

Pro-tip: pack electrolyte packets to enhance your water!

🍬 Nausea just comes with the autoimmune territory for me, so I always pack mints or sour candies that help shock my body out of nauseous episodes. I also have motion meds with me if we plan to do any rides that typically make me sick.

🥜 On top of the mints, I always pack a backup snack. I also have a food allergy, so sometimes getting food immediately during a flare-up isn’t an option. I always make sure to have something packed, normally a prepackaged single-serve peanut butter, so I can get some protein in, too.

🪭 Since heat can cause or make flare-ups worse, I always carry a fan with me. I charge it every night so it’s ready to go the next morning!

💊 If we’re hitting the parks early, I always pack all my meds for the day to make sure I don’t miss any. Sometimes I end up taking them late, but it’s better than missing them completely!

A few other park bag essentials include an external charger, sunglasses, rain gear, and ear plugs.

5 years ago, shortly after finding cruising, I finally got to take my master’s graduation trip with Meredith Miller to Disney World!

Since then, I’ve stayed at almost every resort, been an annual passholder, and visited too many times to count. This has been the place where I grew into the person I’ve become, met incredible people who became family, and cemented my love for travel.

So much so that I wanted to become a travel agent to help others experience the pure joy I found in this place and around the world. I hope everyone gets to experience that joy through travel at least once in their life. ✨

5 years ago, I took my first cruise (followed closely by my first Disney trip), and it fueled a travel fire in me that I have yet to put out. 🔥✈️🛳️

Now I can say I’ve checked off:

🛳️ 10 cruises
🚢 7 cruise ships
📍 4 ports of departure
✨ 2 cruise lines
❤️ And one lifetime of memories

And somehow, that travel fire is still burning. 🔥
