Hey, we're back! The site's just about ready for everyone (although I've been planning trips for people in the meantime), I've got another trip in the bag and pictures will be coming soon, and a new blog post is up. Did you know that part of the idea behind this site is to comb the internet for one-star reviews of Walt Disney World and teach you how to learn from their mistakes? Yep. Totally is. Building a Walt Disney World website isn't exactly easy, and the events in Orlando this weekend are incredibly tough for all of us that love Disney. But I will say that this photo series really gets to the heart of what the parks are all about.

I walked into Magic Kingdom this morning behind a dad and his daughter - maybe five or six. As we walked under the train station the following conversation happened:

DAD: are you ready to see the castle?

DAUGHTER: yes!

DAD: are you ready to see the CASTLE?

DAUGHTER: YES!

DAD: ARE YOU READY TO SEE THE CASTLE?!?!

DAUGHTER: YES, DADDY!

Their pace quickened as the tenor of their voice rose, until they were practically running by the fire house, positively sprinting by the time the rounded the corner at The Emporium. And then...dead stop as the castle came in view.

The dad knelt down to his daughter's level and she put her arms around his neck as they stood there in awe. I'm pretty sure both had been dreaming of this moment, but probably for very different reasons.

And suddenly I felt like my presence was intrusive. But then I realized they, in that moment, were only cognizant of each other.

That's Disney Magic.

Made a rookie mistake yesterday and put my resort mug with some Coke still in it in my park bag and didn't double check that the ziploc was 100% closed after Big Thunder Mountain. So while my Goofy hat is in the room drying after a bath, a new one was in order because the Florida sun is NO JOKE.

Mother sending her college aged kids off to ride rock n roller coaster while she stays on Sunset Boulevard (in increasing volume as they walk away and all of them are laughing):

"Bye! Have Fun! Stick TOGETHER! DON'T TALK TO STRANGERS! DON'T TAKE ANY CANDY BECAUSE IT MIGHT HAVE DRUGS!!!!!!"

MONORAIL DRIVER: yeah.

GIRL'S DAD: come on princess, hurry up!

GIRL: dad I'm not a princess! I want to be a monorail driver? What if I became a monorail driver? I think that's the coolest ever to drive a monorail. Do you think I could be a monorail driver? MONORAIL!
