One thing our family always takes advantage of at Disney is character dining.

The theme of our Disney vacations is usually simple: How can we minimize waiting in lines? And avoiding long character lines in the parks is a huge part of that strategy. It's easy to spend hours of your park day waiting to meet just one or two characters.

Instead, we prefer character dining experiences where the characters come directly to your table while you relax and enjoy a meal. Not only is it more efficient, but you'll often meet multiple characters in one sitting!

💡 Pro Tip: Schedule character dining on a resort or rest day, or book a late breakfast or lunch. This allows you to take advantage of Early Entry and rope drop in the morning when wait times are lowest, then enjoy your character experience later in the day.

Disney usually releases a full foodie guide closer to the holiday, and many of these treats are only available for a limited time, making them even more fun to hunt down during your visit!

My biggest tip? Don't skip the bakeries, Main Street Confectionery, an resort quick-service locations, often have some of the best seasonal offerings.

The P Family is headed to Disney World today!

This special trip is all about celebrating milestones, including a few first-time Disney visitors and a high school graduation!

They'll be staying at Disney’s Contemporary Resort in a Theme Park View room, where they'll be able to watch the Magic Kingdom fireworks right from their room each night. Talk about a magical way to end the day

With 4-Day Magic Tickets, they'll be exploring all four Walt Disney World theme parks, and they've also added the Disney Dining Plan. They have some fantastic reservations lined up, including Cinderella's Royal Table, Via Napoli, and Steakhouse 71.

What an incredible way to celebrate together. Wishing the P Family an unforgettable vacation!

One of my favorite Disney tips? Don’t skip the amazing PhotoPass photographers throughout the parks!

Not only do they capture beautiful family photos (so everyone gets to be in the picture!), but they can also add special Magic Shots featuring Disney characters and surprises that make your photos even more magical.

Pro Tip: If you’re planning to purchase Memory Maker, buy it at least 3 days before your trip and you’ll save $25 compared to purchasing during your vacation.

Trust me, years from now, you’ll be so glad you have these photos to look back on. ❤️

The D Family is headed to Disney World today!

School is out, and they’re ready for a Disney vacation filled with park hopping, incredible dining, and plenty of thrills. They'll be staying at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn, one of my favorite deluxe resorts thanks to its amazing location just steps from EPCOT and a short walk or boat ride to Hollywood Studios. As deluxe resort guests, they’ll also be able to take advantage of Extended Evening Hours at EPCOT.

The kids are little thrill seekers, so they're especially excited for TRON Lightcycle / Run, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, and Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind.

They also have some fantastic dining reservations planned, including a visit to the beautiful Cake Bake Shop on the BoardWalk, which is sure to be a highlight of the trip.

I can't wait to follow along on their adventures and see all the magical memories they make this week!

✨ Calling all Disney foodies! ✨

One of Walt Disney World's most iconic signature dining experiences just got a seasonal refresh, and the new menu at California Grill looks incredible. Perched atop Disney’s Contemporary Resort, this fan-favorite restaurant is known for its stunning Magic Kingdom views, exceptional service, and elevated cuisine, and these new offerings are making me want to book a reservation immediately.

Highlights include Hearth-Steamed Saffron Mussels, a beautiful Artichoke Flatbread, Wagyu Strip Loin, Domestic Lamb, fresh Seared Market Fish, and a seafood-packed Cioppino. And for dessert? The new Celebration of Citrus sounds like the perfect summer finish.

The cocktail menu is also bringing some serious summer vibes with the Honeycomb Fizz and a Maple Bourbon Old Fashioned that sounds absolutely delicious.

If you're planning a Disney vacation and looking for a special night out, California Grill continues to be one of my top dining recommendations. Great food, incredible views, and if you time it right, a spectacular view of the Magic Kingdom fireworks.

The R Family is headed to Disney World!

This family planned the perfect end-of-summer getaway before school starts, complete with a visit to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party 🎃👻

They'll be spending plenty of time at Hollywood Studios exploring Galaxy’s Edge and grabbing a drink at Oga’s Cantina, along with visiting EPCOT to stroll through World Showcase. One of their dining highlights? Rose & Crown, a guest favorite with incredible atmosphere and views.

For their stay, they chose Disney’s Beach Club Resort, one of Disney’s most popular deluxe resorts. Its unbeatable location allows guests to walk to EPCOT’s International Gateway entrance in just minutes and easily access Hollywood Studios as well.

And since they'll be visiting during the summer, they're especially excited to enjoy Stormalong Bay, widely considered Disney World's best pool complex, complete with a lazy river, sand-bottom pool, and waterslide.

What a great way to wrap up summer vacation before heading back to school!
