Most people don’t actually want honesty.
They want comfort.
They want to believe hard work always pays off.
They want to think struggle is a personal failure.
But here’s the uncomfortable truth:
Some of the hardest-working people I know are exhausted, broke, and still doing everything “right.”
Not because they’re lazy.
Not because they’re irresponsible.
But because the system rewards access—not effort.
If this made you uncomfortable, good.
If it made you feel seen, even better.
Don’t argue in the comments—just answer this:
What’s something you were taught growing up that turned out not to be true?
