We are thrilled to give you a sneak peek of our exciting new vacation rental project! 🎉 Our team is starting from scratch to design a perfect getaway for today’s vacationers.

✨This project includes combining 4 lots, completely overhauling 4 cabins, and adding a main lodge with an outdoor oasis. It will be able to sleep up to 30 people!✨

Our goal for this project? To create a space where multi-generational families and groups of friends can come together, recreate nostalgic cabin life memories, mingle effortlessly, and truly be present in the moment. Stay tuned as we get started! 🏡✨

☀️ While earlier than usual, the tell tale signs of spring have arrived. 🌷 The green of tulip leaves piercing through the dark, damp soil. In the middle of the lake, the water gently rippling until it fades beneath the lingering thin sheets of ice. The shoreline, ever so softly crackling, showing off its final breaths of winter. The piers lined up, anxiously awaiting their return to the beloved water. And of course, there's the air—brisk, causing noses to run, yet when the sun shines on you, there's a fleeting moment—one where discomfort yields to comfort, where all worries fade away, and you find yourself fully present in the moment, embraced by spring and what's to come.

The introduction of people, being at a particular place at a particular time, or the conversations sparked that starts the dialogue (or leads to one thereafter). This particular one was an introduction that led to conversations between a serial optimist and a stone wall question asker whose spouses and families both loved them dearly.

When you've poured your heart and soul into bringing your vision to life, the first reviews hold a unique place in your hearts. We couldn’t be happier when guests embrace our dream, just as Robin, one of our very first guests, did.

From collaborating with her to plan her trip to addressing our first minor hiccup with the keypad, Robin was the perfect guest. Her kind words continue to inspire us and reaffirm our passion for what we do!

Step inside The Northshore Hideaway townhomes and let's journey back to where it all began! 🏡✨ Though we've been open for over a year now, we're taking a moment to reflect on that special year filled with love, the hum of construction, countless hours of research, and meticulous planning that breathed life into our vacation rental dream.

Embarking on construction amidst the challenges of Covid—supply chain delays, labor shortages, and unforeseen hurdles—was far from ideal. But through it all, we never lost sight of our ultimate goal: creating a genuine 'home away from home' for our guests.

Our journey unfolded in phases. We began by opening a single unit, extending invitations to friends and family to stay, requesting every bit of feedback in return.
This helped us refine the details and work out any kinks before launching (a big 'thank you' to those who played a part).

After our initial launch, we introduced three units on popular vacation rental platforms like Airbnb and VRBO. We continued to immerse ourselves in the intricacies of property management, from the operations to the behind-the-scenes 'flipping' process, backend systems, communications, and guest experience. Once we felt our team was in a groove and working like a well oiled (and loved) machine, we put the remaining 3 units up.

🌟 It's been a journey of growth, learning, and, most importantly, a lot of fun.

We can't wait to welcome you to your 'home away from home' at The Northshore Hideaway. 🌅
