🏔️ One last look before we close for the season.

Today is the final day of the 2026 season at the Wilkerson Pass Visitor Center. We’re open from 9 AM to 5 PM today, so there’s still time to stop by, take in the incredible views across South Park, browse the gift shop, or enjoy one last walk around the pass.

To everyone who stopped in this season, whether Wilkerson Pass was your destination or simply a beautiful stop along the way, thank you for spending a little time with us. We’ve loved welcoming visitors to this special corner of Park County and sharing the landscapes, history, and stories of South Park with you.

🍂 It’s the final weekend of the season at Wilkerson Pass Visitor Center!

If you’ve been meaning to make one more stop at Wilkerson Pass, now is the time. Sunday, October 4 is the final day the Visitor Center will be open for the 2026 season.

Stop by this weekend to browse the gift shop, learn more about South Park, walk the 0.9-mile interpretive trail, and enjoy the views from the top of the pass before we close for the season. 🏔️

The Wilkerson Pass Visitor Center has a wonderful selection of books covering Park County and Colorado history, mining, ghost towns, wildlife, trails, scenic drives, photography, and more. Whether you’re looking for a local history book, something to inspire your next Colorado adventure, or a souvenir from your travels, there’s plenty to browse.

With the Visitor Center typically closing for the season in early October, now is a great time to stop in. Come browse the shelves, explore the exhibits, and enjoy the views from Wilkerson Pass before another season comes to a close! 🍂

🏔️ Bringing back one of our favorite Wilkerson Pass reels!

Originally captured by Christiana in 2023, this beautiful video perfectly shows off the wide-open views that make Wilkerson Pass such a memorable stop. The golden grasses, sweeping South Park landscape, and huge Colorado sky make this one we’re always happy to see again.

We’ve shared this one before, but it was too good not to bring back for a remix. 💛

Fall is also right around the corner, making this an especially beautiful time of year to visit. 🍂

🦌 Some moments at Wilkerson Pass are simply worth seeing again.

This incredible capture by puts one of South Park’s most impressive residents front and center. The detail in the bull elk, the herd gathered behind him, and that beautiful mountain setting make this such a striking wildlife moment. We love getting to share views of Wilkerson Pass through the eyes of those who experience them.

Wildlife is part of what makes this landscape so special. If you encounter elk or other animals while visiting, enjoy the moment from a safe distance and give them plenty of space.

Even after the busiest day of exploring, Wilkerson Pass has a way of rewarding visitors with unforgettable evening skies like these. As the sun dips below the mountains and the colors begin to glow across South Park, it's easy to see why so many travelers linger just a little longer.
