The 2022 summer season is nearly upon us which also means the Rumbling Bald outdoor pools are opening soon!

Between our Trout Stream Pool complex and Apple Valley Pool, lodging guests and members alike will have a place to kick back and relax beside the water. May marks our reopening season (pending county pool inspection) with the following hours:

• Trout Stream Pool & Lazy River
Weekends only (Saturday & Sunday) starting Saturday, May 7th
Open daily starting Monday, May 30th

9 – 10am (adult swim)
10am – 8pm

• Apple Valley Pool
Open daily starting Saturday, May 7th

10am – 8pm

Please note, both the Trout Stream and Apple Valley pools are open to RB Lodging Guests and Members only. Guest passes and Member IDs are required for entry.

The Fourth of July is a day for celebration and for national pride.

It has become an annual tradition for us at Rumbling Bald to incorporate our guests and members into that pride through a golf cart parade. This is your opportunity to be a part of the celebration and the festivities put on by Rumbling Bald and a chance to show off you and your family’s creativity.

Beginning at 4pm, participants ride their carts front stage all down the beach in a wonderful display of color and ingenuity. Put your thinking caps on to come up with your visual example of national pride and transform your golf cart into a patriotic masterpiece.

Please note that this year we will be asking participants to not pass out candy along the parade route.

Three reasons to get excited about the golf season ahead at Rumbling Bald.

One of the many reasons we live in the Carolinas, and that golfers from throughout the U.S. love to visit here: there really is no off season. Sure, January brings highs in the 40s and 50s and even the occasional dusting of snow.

But with more than 220 days of sunshine, it never lasts long. And the first signs of spring appear in late February as Eastern redbuds and cherry trees bloom.

So yes, have-clubs-will travel types, teeing it up year-round in the Old North State is definitely “a thing.”

This year, Rumbling Bald is readying for a particularly exciting and eventful “peak” golf season getting underway in just a couple months. And there are so many powerful tailwinds propelling the $84 billion industry and great game ahead. Participation has normalized around 24 million golfers according to the National Golf Foundation.
