One of North Carolina’s most memorable summer festivals…the “WNC Bigfoot Festival” kicks off this August in Marion, North Carolina, surrounded by the Blue Ridge Mountains! Here you’ll find several blocks of downtown Main Street filled with Bigfoot fun, live music, food, and crowds of curious visitors. The free festival runs Saturday, August 29 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and draws Bigfoot fans from across the country. Browse dozens of vendors selling Sasquatch souvenirs, handmade crafts, and quirky gifts you won’t find anywhere else. Food trucks and local restaurants serve festival favorites, sweet treats, and cold drinks while bands play throughout the day. At Courthouse Square you can listen to speakers share stories and research about the legendary creature. One of the biggest highlights is the lively Bigfoot Calling Contest, where brave participants try their best Sasquatch howl. Kids can head to the Little Foot Zone for inflatables and activities, making this a fun day for the whole family.
