Did you know!!!

Armadillos actually live around the Lake of the Ozarks.

Once found mostly in the southern U.S., armadillos have slowly expanded north over the years thanks to warmer winters. Today, it’s not uncommon to spot one wandering through wooded areas—or crossing a quiet back road near the lake, especially at night.

They’re shy, mostly nocturnal, and completely harmless… just unexpected lake neighbors.

Nature around here always has a few surprises.
