🌋Summer Vacation Inspo🇮🇸

This year we are heading to Iceland for the first time together as a family, exploring its dramatic landscapes and geothermal wonders! 🏔️

We’ll be mixing hiking with glacier walks, soaking in hot springs, and chasing waterfalls. We’re hoping to spot some puffins and whales along the way! 🐋

Some of the things I am most excited for are experiencing long days of sunlight and exploring the glaciers. ✨🌕

❄️ My family and I just enjoyed an amazing winter getaway at the Mirror Lake Inn Resort & Spa in Lake Placid, NY! 🏔️ If you’re looking to step right into a winter wonderland, Lake Placid is one of the most magical places. From the incredibly friendly locals to the rich history (Lake Placid hosted the Winter Olympics in 1932 and 1980!) to the endless supply of shopping, restaurants, and outdoor activities, there really is something for everyone.

Mirror Lake Inn is set right alongside Mirror Lake and was the perfect home base for our Lake Placid adventure. The resort has a private hockey and ice skating rink right on the lake, which was frozen over 9” by the time we visited in December. As evidence of those solid icy layers, there was a walking path cleared around the lake for unique outdoor strolls that offer gorgeous views of town and the surrounding mountains. Additionally, .dogsled operates two tracks around the lake where you can experience dog sledding just a few hours north of NYC!

We stayed in an Oak Knoll 3rd Floor 2 Queen room with gorgeous, uninterrupted views of the lake and mountains. Whiteface Mountain and the Olympic Complex are only a short drive away, the town is adorable and full of wonderful shops and restaurants of all kinds, and we truly cannot wait to return!
