The new top of the line Bell Tent installed. Still have a bit more work to do (connect heater, fix internet connection, and make the bed). Once that is done will have interior photos. It has more room inside than the tipi. This bell tent even has a fly. We, me and Susan, did the painting of animals and designs on the fly ourselves.

Ladies and Gentlemen that follow Bear Ridge Tipi. Due to the wear and tear on the canvas of the Tipi inflicted by the Washington Environment we will be retiring the Tipi. However, our AirBnb will still be open. What will change is title from Bear Ridge Tipi: Tranquility in the Woods to Tranquility in the Woods: Bear Ridge Oasis. The tipi being replaced by a top of the line 20 foot diameter bell tent. It will have more head room and walk around space. Should last longer than the Tipi because we ordered a fly to go with bell tent. So wear and tear should be more on the fly. Will keep everyone informed and update photos as it happens. This is BS, If our young men and women can earn graduation from any armed service before graduation, they have earned the honor to graduate in dress uniform. It shows the school and community their drive for an education and their belief in serving their country. The article states "Their school is in Pueblo, Colorado also known as the “Home of Heroes”. The school and school district should not be allowed in any correspondence or media to reference their school as "Home of Heroes" if they will not allow those that have placed themselves in the path of danger for their community and country. Sorry this just makes be very angry. Our Freedoms are NOT FREE

The high school has offered the students a compromise to wear their Marine uniforms during the opening ceremony and then change into a gap and gown.

Just install thermostat-controlled furnace ducted into tipi. Will be removing wood stove, thus increasing room in tipi.

This past weekend we were a bit worried. We had guests arriving late (8:00pm) and there was a major wind/rain storm. Winds were recorded between 50-60 mph. The guests still came, but orientation was a little fast due to the weather. But you know that 10,000-year-old structure withstood the wind and rain. Our guests said "yes it was windy, you could hear it whip through the poles at the top but "It was awesome". The guests said they were warm and cozy. WOW, a tipi in 50-60 mph wet rain, and with temperatures in the low 40s. Makes me proud of getting it all together and doing it right. Oh, Mother Nature helped with the stay. On the second day, it was a bit sunny and while sitting outside the tipi the guests said a Seahawk was chasing a Seagull not 20 feet above the Tipi. The nature show is awesome.

New Change to Bear Ridge Tipi. We added the Kitchen hut. Susan was worried that cooking in could cause a fire (we do have a propane stove) But she wanted it out, plus it would give a lot more room inside so we have just completed it.
